    So I figured I'd parse through this thread along with the Technical Support section to find any common themes with the hardware combination this issue is affecting ;

    Code:
    1) Intel i5-3570K / GTX 970
    2) Ryzen 1800X / GTX 1080 Ti
    3) Ryzen 1600 / GTX 1060
    4) Ryzen 1700X / RX 5700X
    5) Ryzen 1500X / RX 480
    6) Ryzen 1700 / RX 480
    7) Intel i9 9900K / RTX 2070
    8) Intel i7-8550U / UHD Graphics 620
    9) Ryzen 1700X / GTX 1080 Ti
    10) Intel i7-4910MQ / GeForce GTX 970M
    11) Ryzen 1700 / GTX 1080
    12) Ryzen 1700 / GTX 1060
    13) Ryzen 1600 / GTX 1080
    14) Ryzen 1500X / 1050 Ti
    15) Ryzen 1700 / RX 5700 XT
    16) Intel i7-7700HQ / GTX 1050M
    17) Ryzen 1700X / GTX 1060
    18) Ryzen 1600 / GTX 1080 Ti
    19) Ryzen 1700 X / RX Vega 64
    20) Intel i5-8600 / GTX 1060
This is a small sample size from the people who've explicitly stated their computer information.

    Totals from the combinations ;

    Code:
    AMD CPU's w/ NVIDIA GPU's : 9
    Intel CPU's w/ NVIDIA GPU's : 4
    AMD CPU's w/ AMD GPU's : 5
    Intel CPU's w/ AMD GPU's : 0
    Outlier: Intel CPU's w/ Intel GPU's : 1
Even with this tiny sample size, we can see this doesn't only affect one specific CPU & GPU combination (though first generation Ryzen CPU's account for 14 of the 20 computers). There are many other threads out there not in the FFXIV forums where users are experiencing this issue but, unfortunately, hardware information doesn't seem to be useful for identifying the root cause.

today i've helped one of my friends, who has an Intel CPU with an Nvidia GPU(RTX 2060) who was being plagued by error 11000002,from the tests we did,it certainly does seem related to the game not being able to get the GPU to display things on screen,in particular VisualFX, my friend's FF14 was crashing sometimes as soon as she logged in,sometimes it would let her play a few minutes... we tried a looot of fixes, including reinstalling windows,FF14,directx,drivers and all, what worked for US(i'm really sorry if it doesnt work for you), is that we went to the Nvidia Geforce settings, and turned all the graphics to the lowest settings(since we couldnt access the settings ingame due to the crash),and so far after an hour it hasnt crashed once!

Did you happen to note how many people had driver version 445.87 installed for those Nvidia ones?

Canadane in the other thread seems to think that there's something wrong with 445.87.

    *sigh*

I am about to freaking give up.

I played for FIVE FREAKING HOURS last night, and two+ hours today, NO problems.

I played for several hours the day before, and the day before that, no problems.

Crashed randomly today. Did a FULL REBOOT with turning the power strip off.... crashed again after being online for like 20 seconds.

EDIT: only one thing I can do is try DX9.0c.

I could check but, I don't think it's worthwhile. Rolling back NVIDIA drivers from 445.87 is a common suggestion many have tried without it fixing the problem.

It's safe to say no one really knows why this is happening, since "solutions" can range from rolling back a graphics driver to disabling an entire CPU core. Next I'm sure a suggestion would be to contact your Great Grandfather via a weegee board and have him trouble-shoot the issue .

I jest but, I'm out of logical ideas since I don't have any logs to work off of and, I'm not the best at randomly trouble-shooting issues.

SO I fixed my previous ctd loading into a zone by reinstalling, and it played a cutscene just fine. Now I'm crashing with the dx11 error trying to load another cutscene. Love it.

no its cool you should totally have to reinstall a 50gb game twice in a month with no word on the devs as to why this has been happening since 2017

Yeah that whole reinstall thing makes my mind boggle too.

I mean, look. If the files are corrupt, then they'd fail an md5 check. So.......md5 the game's files (the game's launcher should be capable of doing this). If they pass, then that's not the problem. Check the Windows Registry to make sure nothing got corrupt in there, takes a few seconds for a program to do. If that passes, then there's nothing wrong with the game's install and we shouldn't be asking a player to download 50 GIGS of data multiple times over.

I don't have crashes, though I do have immense framerate drops that make the game borderline unplayable.

But for some reason it only started 2 days agoe. Untill then there never really were any big problems with crashes.

Adding in a "me too" here. I just resubbed a few days ago for the first time since 4.0 (logged in once last year for a server transfer during that free period). Was fine for a few days, got my GNB up to 70 with a random crash here and there. Then it just got worse and worse and worse, very rapidly over the last day or two. They've all been errorless CTDs except for two. It wasn't affecting other players 'til this morning when I crashed while tanking mid-Susano, and that's where I drew the line. Now I can't keep the game running for more than 5-10 minutes, and I've tried most everything in the thread and in others.

    Specs:
    EVGA 1070 GTX SC Gaming
    AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
Asus VG248 144hz (older model without gsync)
    ASRock AB350 Pro4 mobo
    16GB ram

    1st crash with a message:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV
    2020-03-26_13:14
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+318245
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+355C4B
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+355C2D
    ???+16788616AAC"

    2nd crash with a message:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV
    2020-03-26_13:14
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+318245
    ???+1AB70B0EE80
    ???+1AB3D3C3580
    ???+1
    ???+2
    ???+1AB70B101A0
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+379422"

I'm pretty devastated, and put a lot of money back into resubbing/expansion/fantasia. Was really enjoying it, but this is legitimately unplayable now. No other program on my PC has any issues.
