Resistance Weapon Quest line

Is anyone else a bit disappointed with the Resistance Weapons? We won't see any major content to upgrade it until 5.35, at which point, we only get use of the weapons for, what I am assuming, is the final major patch of the expansion.

Seems a far cry from Eureka and it's related gear which release in 4.25 and got updated throughout the rest of the expansion.

I liked what I saw in one hour of this storyline more than everything I saw about Eureka.

Quality over quantity, imo. As far as I'm concerned, being a "far cry" from Eureka can only be an improvement.

Been over this already, but there's already plenty of sidequests and MSQ that provides quality story content. As far as I'm aware relic used to be for those interested in grinding (quantity) and a more mindless time sink, which is why I think many were disappointment with this relic. I'm guessing we got fate grinding instead with ShB which may have played a role in making the first relic step short and story focused. I'm personally hoping the next steps will be grindy.

It should be. Yoshi-p said back in the LL for 5.2 and in a few interviews that the quest line to get the weapons will be easier and story based while upgrading them will be a grind. We will be getting a field instance with 5.35 that will not be 100% like Eureka but inspired by it. (He also mentioned that there will be multiple paths to upgrade the weapons, which hopefully he will go to in more depth in the next LL) So hopefully it will be nice and grindy.

I resubbed expecting a long relic grind like Eureka...

Now I wasted sub money but at least finally got around to doing the pixie beast tribe quest for the porxie mount.

From what was mentioned in live letter looks like there will be actually 2 separate paths of upgrading relics, "eureka-esque" option and "anima-esque" option, so yeah grinding through the new exploration zone or if that is not to your liking old grind of like fates and dungeons. Personally think the new story seems way more interesting than what eureka had, prolly could of waited till 5.35 to start off things, but guess they just needed something for this patch which felt pretty empty already.

Im interested in the story surrounding it so far.
And I personally like that the 1st step is this easy, gives me something to spend my Poetics on. Im very sure the grind will be there in the next steps, this 1st step is to just ease us in and get us setup.
