    Horrible Lag During Evenings

    Hello, I wanted to add my hat into the ring of people having major lag / disconnect problems lately. Getting kind of frustrating when trying to play since evenings are generally a good time for me and now it's basically impossible to play.

    Some general info:
    - Windows 8.1 Pro
    - FFXIV running in DX11
    - Intel Core i7 4790k
    - 32gig RAM
    - GTX 1080
    - Game is running/installed on an SSD.
    - Frontier internet.
    - West coast location wise.
    - Aether datacenter.
    - Fairie server.

    Also seeing the same error codes when I do get kicked after lagging too long.
    Usually 90006, but have seen 90001 and 90002 as well.

    Friend of mine is also having the same problem and lives in California. (Different state than me.) His trace:

    Another friend of ours whom lives in Colorado is also having the same issues, don't have a trace from him to share though. This is three separate people, in three different states, having the same issue playing on the same server/node of the game.

    Nothing else is affected by this issue, just FF14. It is not an issue with any of our internet connections / ISP. This is only happening on FF14. (FF11 works fine and does not have lag issues for example.)

    Yeah, I don't normally get much lag but today it's making the game almost unplayable.

    Where in game do you experience connection issues? Are you connected directly the router ore you using WiFi?

    Lag was in every zone, didn't matter where at in-game I was or where the others were too.

    Connections were all wire-based LAN connections to our routers.

    Good morning and thank you for the reply.

    Is the Final Fantasy XIV application allowed through the fire wall? Additionally, could you try changing the Internet Explorer settings?

    Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

    traceroute seems like NTT is having some issues then. ping is timing out in their network. not surprising. your gameplay will prob be affected until they get it worked out.

    Today I also experience lagging. I ask people if it's just me, but it turns out everybody is experiencing bad lagging during gameplay.

    Can also confirm alot of lag this evening in our leveling roulette. Brayfloxs longstop to be exact completely dced from the game. Tank also having lag issues. My connection is fine as this is the only item lagging on my side.
