Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you connected directly the router or are you using WIFI? Have any updates or changes been made to the network settings? Is the Final Fantasy XIV application allowed through the fire wall?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I am connected to my router via cable, I have not had any network changes when I went down. My Firewall is allowing FFXIV. I have also turned the Windows defender firewall and router firewall off to see if it makes a difference, yet it doesn't. I was in-game too when the sudden disconnection happened as well.

I'm also seeing some other Australians having difficulty connecting to NA servers to with recent posts. So I don't think its just me

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

If you have not done so already, please try the following:

    -Update Internet Explorer:
Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

I am in Australia and have been experiencing the exact same issue with NA servers only - in particular Behemoth. I can successfully log on to all other servers and am running windows 10 NOT connected to Steam and have a similar set up to Ra_lord, NO changes have been done to my system, I am able to connect to NA for other applications through work so it is clearly an issue at your end as I am able to successfully log onto other servers in other regions and play.

i had this same problem. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...19#post5158819 . Thats what they told me on my forum post. Basically they said there was nothing they could do and basically left me to be sad in a corner with no hope of fixing the problem. Luckily the maintenance that THEY did seems to have fixed the problem for me. Try logging in again and see if its fixed for you. Nothing they could do ..... yah right. I must say I'm a bit salty after my customer support experience.
