[Request] Please hide the tail for costume-type body suits.

Howdy

Yes this is one of those threads where we request a glamour QoL change in the game. I would like to request that the tail for Miqote, Au'ra, and Hrothgar be hidden when wearing the “costumes.” More specifically the Chocobo suit, Reindeer suit, Vanu Vanu body, and Zundu body. It has been requested repeatedly over the years as shown by these threads:

It's self explanatory as to why I and other players would want the tail to be hidden. So why aren't tails hidden for the suits I mentioned above? The tail is already hidden when wearing certain pieces like the Werewolf body, DRG AF gear, Pig suit, and the Snowman suit. I know it can be done and that the “hide tail” flag is attached to the body piece.

Perhaps we can have a “tail toggle” option like these players have suggested so everyone's happy.

A side note: I hope the new frog suit hides the tail...

TL;DR
Glamours like the chocobo suit and reindeer suit look bad on tailed races since the tail pokes out the butt of the suit. Please hide the tail for suits like these.

I'd rather see them re-introduce tail armor and make our tails look like they were considered in the outfit's tailoring instead of them dismembering us. :T
(Also am I the only one who likes the ear pockets? Hats without them look SO uncomfortable!)

Yeah it was a thing during 1.0.


Armor like this would be ideal for new armor moving forward. I also like Shougun's idea.
However it wouldn't work for the costume suits I pointed out that have their own "tail."

The Crystal Exarch/G'raha Tia is a Mi'qote but his tail doesn't show. A major npc hides their tail, it clearly doesn't disorient him lore wise.

But it wasn't hidden then it would be far more obvious who it is honestly. They gotta maintain some semblance of mystery, you know? :P

As for me I like having my tail out so I'd rather not have it tucked away, though I'm more than willing to make an exception for the chocobo suit because having the black Xaela tail makes it look like a long string of... *clears throat* Yeah.

In most of those costumes it should be more than enough space to just tuck it away.

Ouch, When I first obtained that I literally winced in pain. I would use that if my tail could be free, not like it's stuffed in a sausage casing.

Actually the fact that tails can't be hidden is what's keeping me from switching to Hrothgar. The Chocobo Suit is my favorite body piece in the game, but the fact that tails just stick out of them is extremely off putting and makes me groan every time I see it happening. Giving a toggle to hide the tail in armour is a hell of a lot easier than it is to 'introduce tail armour', since there's tails for a few races, meaning multiple times they'd have to change the tail armour if they decided to go down that route.

Plus they're working on making head armour work for the new races, which I would say is safe to assume be very time consuming.
