I mean it seems like an easy solution but nobody will ever do something like that. People are lazy and don't want to work for their gil.
When gil really isn't that difficult to make.
Have now been in queue for 300 minutes, "reserving server". Have also put in about 10 tickets for a GM, not one reply.
SE has a D- rating with the BBB, not hard to see why. I presume if I put in a ticket bc someone used "profanity" there would be contact from a GM eager to obtain details of this heinous crime, but this situation where I cannot progress on a quest bc of a glaring and legitimate technical issue doesnt even warrant a GM contacting me to recognize the details of the situation and at least express some modicum of concern for the problem.
Everytime I see lines like this I always question how -easy- it REALLY is. Cause from what I noticed is it's really not that easy when you break it down. To me thats like saying Sav is easy. Maybe to the people who have it on farm and has been doing it forever.. but to someone just jumping in.. hell no. That isn't easy at all. to someone who has NO crafters up? It isn't easy at all. I'm not saying it's super hard... but I just always question statements like that cause I tend to look at it from a different point of view. Like I have NO crafters at all, so to me making gil isn't all that easy... And telling me to level up a crafter with no gil is like blargh. I'm sure once I get those things to 60 or 70 then it's a different story but as it is right now.... I disagree.
All you need to make gil is a tank. Daily roulettes give an insane amount. Have a few friends and 1 gatherer leveled? Do maps, more gil.Everytime I see lines like this I always question how -easy- it REALLY is. Cause from what I noticed is it's really not that easy when you break it down. I currently have a medium house and 63mil, I dont craft to sell, and most of my income was from maps and tanking roulettes.

OOF. I forgot about maps.
If this problem is affecting all players and not just you, it might be possible to finally get SE off their butts so they'll do something more lasting if several reports are sent in.
It's unacceptable for an entire instance to be getting locked out by bots, much less RMT-related ones.
Whenever RMT gets brought up I just can never comprehend that there are actually people who buy it. I haven't even had anything to buy in the first place since early 2018 when I bought my house... for 3million gil. I now have 45 milion and I definitely don't try... like what. What are these people even doing?
First of all, damn dude, did you just go and make this thread in every folder?
More importantly, I don't really recall hearing this being a problem in previous years, which makes me suspect something has changed to make this the current botting meta (or maybe it hasn't, and it's just the latest fad, who knows). But, this topic seems to come up with some frequency lately. So, I suspect, or at least want to believe, devs are aware of the situation, but they're too deep into expansion prep to really dedicate much resources to resolving it. Seems like they've done some bandaid fixes lately, probably mostly just involving resetting the instance servers for that dungeon or something. Otherwise, wouldn't be surprised if it'll be a few weeks/months before an actual solution is implemented, if they bother at all.
There's always the option to get it done after maintenance while the servers are still fresh.
Everything about the gil farming bots is fully automated including their log-in process, so I can guarantee you they'll all be online before any legitimate players manage to get in.
What these bots are doing has changed little since the earliest days of ARR, but their numbers definitely have, as I was routinely seeing nearly 200 of them online simultaneously on Cactuar alone before the character creation got locked when previously you'd see less then half of that. Their increase seems to have coincided with the patch that introduced World Travel.
