Astrologian is not unique because of Time. The main theme is on it's name. Time is just a feature, a mere tool.

FFXIV lacks a main Time manipulator Job imo, and I'm not satisfied with just Astrologian. I want a Job in the level of Ultimecia Job, and not just a little feature when it could be a whole lot better.

I see you have some inspiration on my attempted Time Job Source Blader, thanks for reading it if so. (Spacio-temporal Safeguard at least)
I had a similar way of utilizing "illusions", but I did not want to call them illusions because it would just not fit the time theme for me. So I've come with an explanation and made the action different. I call myself from the future, taking control over him and leaving my character with the AI. The AI will copy every action for 15s and then he will enter in a portal to the past, so that he can become what I am now and complete that timeline. That's how I explain how we can utilize illusions.

It's a interesting job, my Sourcer Blader is a multi role, it's lacking the Tank and Healer variants, although only having 2 sketch Lv 30 stances. I would surely utilize that future versions/illusions as a additional tank mechanic, while expanding it a whole more lot too.
