


Because it's a lazy way of making content more "long-lasting"... Or it would be, if players actually wanted to put up with that. I don't see what's wrong with having a set, fixed goal point. I don't mind a grind, but only as long as I can see where I'm going, how close I am to reaching the goal, and actually be able to plan things out. It's an entirely different thing when you have to rely on RNGesus with no real rhyme or reason to what you're doing.
