    It is your guy's end and you just need to check out all the severs to fined the problem because it is still going on. I have had the problem for 3 weeks and still no change, still got the spells not going off/canceling and players and mobs stop moving (in anything) then move real fast 1-3 seconds later to the other side of the area. The lag happens all the time in a city, town, instance, and just doing anything the lag happens. When is this going to be fixed? Or is there even someone working on a fix or to even check your severs for any problems. Because nothing changed after the patch today I was hopeful that there would be a fix but nope.

    Having same issue off and on

    I'm having the same issue. The lag would hit every so often. Things would halt and either skip to the frame or speed up real fast. This has been happening to me and my FC comrades, since the last patch on 4.3. After eliminating whether it was a platform, localization, or ISP issue; it is definitely on the server end.

    I am still experiencing terrible latency in the evenings. Story is the same as everyone else who has posted. Tracert shows NTT is the culprit.

    Hello I also am having very frequent disconnect issues from the lobby in game, during the first day of the 4.4 patch I was able to play fine. However, today the disconnects happen more frequently the more I log in, and I've reached the point where I disconnect every 2 minutes.

    Copying over my post from reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...f_disconnects/
    Oh my god finally ... I was going bonkers ... for a good while I thought I am the only person who is being booted off the game, nobody in my FC seemed to be affected, and anyone else I talked to didn't deny or confirm it (likely not sure if it was their internet or the server) and I almost went spiderman-mode up the walls in frustration.

    I finally zeroed in on the culprit being "Chaos" datacenter, all other FFXIV datacenters seem to show stable connection for a good 2 hours of continuous testing, while "Chaos" has a packet loss of about:

    12%@(195.82.50.9)[IP taken from ARRStatus];

    9%@(195.82.50.46)[IP The game is connected to under "Resource Monitor"].

    All other servers show 0% packet loss for those two hours of testing.

    And now that I found this thread, I can breathe easy knowing I'm not the only one affected.

    I used to get disconnected infrequently before the 4.4 update, but I thought that was mostly due to Bandwidth usage being too high whenever someone used the Wifi (I'm on a wired connection, but the router also has Wireless network, bandwidth is shared between me and a few other people)

    Hey everyone,

    When you are reporting these problems, can you please make sure to always mention your location and ISP? For those of you that have the necessary networking know-how (see /u/ckasecret01's post), traceroutes and packet loss statistics would help as well. Please also make sure to post about it on the official Technical Support forum if you can:

    In response to SE_Kahuna:

    My current location is: UK > Tamworth > Polesworth
    My current ISP is: BT

    One thing I've noticed is, just before a disconnect, any moving entity would Pause in their motion, resume, pause again, alternating between moving and standing still at 1s intervals, for a few seconds, up to a minute, till finally everything stops moving, and I stop receiving confirmation for actions like Mounting, teleporting, and ability use, and finally disconnected from server with error code "9000002"

    I am able to resume almost immediately after disconnecting (clicking start, waiting a few seconds and selecting character, only to be notified that it wasn't logged out properly) and appears to be back to normal for a few minutes before acting up again.

    I've since re-configured my TCP/IP protocol for Low bandwidth with "TCPOptimizer" (I'm not going to pretend to know what it does, all I know is that it has helped me in the past with similar issues) in hopes that it would reduce the rate of disconnects, the rate of packet loss has been roughly the same, but I've yet to have a disconnect in the last hour.

    EDIT: I started testing the connection again after Using the above mentioned trick with "TCPOptimizer", so far this is the result:

    Ping statistics for 195.82.50.46:
    Packets: Sent = 1880, Received = 1606, Lost = 274 (14% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 25ms, Maximum = 65ms, Average = 26ms

    Ping statistics for 195.82.50.9:
    Packets: Sent = 2012, Received = 1771, Lost = 241(11% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 26ms, Maximum = 107ms, Average = 27ms

    So far I have yet to be disconnected from the server, will edit or reply to this post if anything happens.

    An update to my info. PS have had this problem for over 3 weeks now. Problem is what I have said a few times earlier in this thread I made.

    Platform: PC
    My location US > Ohio
    My ISP: At&t
    Errors: Sometimes 90002 if kicked out of the sever.
    Connection: Wireless
    Programs: No external program or using the network
    Frequency: Constant, Gets worse in any instance
    Fixes Attempted: All of this = (- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    -Reset your router by turning it off for a few minutes, then back on
    -Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV (you can temporarily disable them while you try to connect as well).
    -Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
    Your ISP may forward these ports for you.)

    Also this is make it very hard to play/enjoy the game at all. I feel like I wasted money, because of the 3 weeks I have had to deal with this problem, have made it that I would go and play other games instead of FFXIV because of this PROBLEM!!!

    I can safely say, that using TCPOptimizer has resolved the issue for me, I still get packet loss from the two IPs I posted, and I still get the occasional lag or long delay from server but I am not getting disconnected anymore. Whatever it did, it worked.
