Time Knight (Tank Concept)

I like the concept and the idea seems solid.

but I don't like the execution of how your Chronoguard opens up portals to bring cataclysm event to the present that sounds super dangerous lol.

The only time gate they should "perhaps" have is to open a gate so we can see a glimpse of the destruction power of the ascian ultima spell.

I also think Blink should be named Rewind sounds more time related.

Well, the purpose behind his abilities comes from the fact that he can open time portals , from a chronological standpoint, these events were grandiose, specifically in the time-line of Final Fantasy XIV and the Realm Reborn. *The Future Time-Lapses are of course made up, but seeing that Omega is on the loose and Ascian Overlord sort of orchestrating certain events, I added them to the mix.

His powers come from time manipulation, allowing him to control these events and use them as weapons. If I didn't implement these Chronological pieces, which was in the original concept, I would have still kept its original name.

Thus why it has a calamity from the past and the new one the Chronosguard who gave the player the powers, foresaw, from a vision of the future:

• The Lapse abilities are him manipulating time and sort of Rewinding it and Fast-Forwarding

Though I didn't add many Offensive Spells, only Demi and Banish, these Time-Lapses are spells conjured by his ability to control the flows of time.

As far as Blink being Rewind, I came up with an absolutely FUN way to incorporate Rewind! Check out my update and see for yourself =D

I don't really see how a scythe works for a tank? It's a bit like a polearm so I see it as more of a DPS weapon. With the buffs and debuffs, it also reminds me of bard, so I would maybe call it a support DPS class? Granted, I'm not really considering anything else of your concept, just the overall "aesthetic."



Personally, I would much rather have a blue mage tank than a time mage tank (that could maybe learn some of these skills you want from monsters), though I do think this concept is cool. Maybe they could do blue tank + time DPS? Or maybe even a time healer as we need more healers and tanks in general. At the same time, AST kinda sorta can do an equivalent to "haste." Would definitely love a healer that did more debuffs, though. We used to have Disable and Stella, but those are the only debuffs (aside from paralysis) that I can think of that AST USED to have.

Also on a more serious note. I looked over you idea more in depth. Not gonna lie it brought a bit of a tear to my eye, allergies be damned. You have basically everything that needs to be there, there. There may be a few more adjustments to be had here and there, but it works. It fits in with the whole of FFXIV, but also does something new and not seen, and with some in game tweeking you could see it. There are a few things I'd change but at this point it's just me being pedantic. I have to say nice work. Cause my approval means everything, lol, T.T
