CHAOS DATACENTER LAG ISSUES

I just decided to post this, because I think this is getting to a point that is unbearable.
I and im sure a lot more players play this game and pay their subs for years now.
And the game as not been like this since I can remember.
The lag issues you get the in the EU servers are completely absurd for a game that is sub based. Im not even arguing that shouldn't be lag, its an MMO always is.
But like this no, or at least in a MMO that ppl pay and not cheap at the end of an year.
I would give SE reason, if was a few ppl only making some claims from time to time, yeah probably would be an ISP problem. Now I been checking forums everyday and everyday ppl place traceroutes and no reply.
People ask for updates and no reply, or if there is a reply its like "Place your traceroutes here so we can pass it on and help you enjoy the exciting world of FFXIV.

Well I got news for SE. It´s not exciting anymore. Cannot do savage without lagging. Cannot do byakko as healer for example cause its lagged until kingdom come.

People been claiming this for MONTHS, since 4.15 and still no reply or solution.

Its probably better to launch new stuff on Mogstation, like a Panda mount that is just a painted version of Christmas bear and charge you 16 EUR for it.

Quite honestly its getting to a point that a player like me that plays for more than god knows I don't even remember myself is thinking of leaving.

BTW I lag on a chocobo race where me and my gf are the only ones players on the rest are NPC´s. so you can imagine how this is going.

I play on PS4, so don't know how to put traceroutes. But I think SE is already enough info to figure it out how to solve this.

Yep friend, I've had this lag for 6 months. It's come to a point where I think SE is just humiliated by there choice of move and they will not admit it and openly address it or even apologize for that matter, but I don't care for apologies. To be honest, I'd actually feel slightly better if they reduced my monthly fee until it's fixed(Yeah right lol) because I can't do any Extreme or Savage content, it's seriously impossible when you get disconnected almost every time a phase changes or just general rubber-banding.

Due to the longevity of this issue, at least for me. It won't be good enough that it's fixed, if it ever does get fixed. I almost feel like being compensated for lost time or wasted money. Subbed to this game for 6 months and only 1 of those months I wasn't plagued with lag and disconnects lol. It's pathetic.

It's definitely clear as day that something's wrong. O7S is the worst offender. Missiles freezing then jumping ahead, for several people playing together from different countries and ISPs. Have video footage from last night of 5/8 of us who got hit by the tentacle simulation puddles...from the PoV of someone who wasn't affected it's clear the 5 of us were reacting to what we saw on our screens accordingly. The abandonment thing is probably unrelated and ties back to the server tick tomfoolery which is a bit sad too. It's just tiring, because it feels like complete luck whether or not we beat it or not. 9/10 of our wipes since our first clear are just abandonment triggering when it shouldn't, or missiles being several meters ahead than they actually appear on screen, or simply aoe puddles not working as they should. It's frustrating.

In addiction to absolute rage in o7s every time, I've lost ton of crafting mats because of lag and macro skill goes nowhere.
I'll unsub next month until it fixed.

Its a not really complex to see where the issue is stemming from, but because there are multiple companies involved, its a logistical pain more than a solution.

I’m not doubting the importance of posting this thing you call a trace route but I have literally no idea how you do it.

When you say ISP do you mean the name of the company that provides my internet? As for location I’m in the UK

OK, ill list a simple guide, Download pingplotter from here https://www.pingplotter.com/

Install and start the software, you will see an address bar in the software, here, you want to input the ip adress 195.82.50.9 (this is the ip address of the chaos datacenter)

When you see packetloss occur, use the keyboard combination ALT+PrintScreen, paste into paint, and save it.

Upload it to your chosen image sharing site, and post the image here.

Pingplotter is useful as not only will it do the traceroute for you in an easy method, it will also show you packetloss over time, which will help KDDI (the owners of the datacenter where Chaos is located physically) pinpoint the time it occurred and in what point of the chain it happened.
