    Dear Moderators

    Tell me whats the point of being subbed to FF14 when we can not play it at all without these constant lags and disconnections. We pay for this game to be able to play and EXPECT premium customer service and solutions!
    I suppose you don't care if you start losing your subs but beware people are getting p***ed off at this point. How much longer will we hear the same crap about waiting and all that. Another month maybe? another 2? No thanks I am sure people wont stick around that long.

    I have just been disconnected AGAIN 5 times in a row in the space of 10 minutes for no reason! Its ridiculous and I DEMAND answers in the name of every player that is experiencing the same issues. Its not fair that all you give is some mumbo jumbo about collecting data and give us the same stereotypical answers that are practically pre-scripted in cases like these.

    We need actual actions taken to be able to enjoy this game again ! I have been left discouraged and disgusted how the game is performing at the moment and everything started after 4.2 (at least for me). I'm sorry but we DO NOT pay for a service just to be disregarded and I am in disbelief that something major like these issues will more than likely go without any kind of reimbursement after all the days we were unable to play (undoubtedly more days to follow) properly and our experience has been severely damaged by these issues.

    So please do have a think about how are you going to make this up to your community because I am sure that if you don't people will leave in a heartbeat.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I understand the frustration you are having and apologize for the trouble and inconvenience. However, connection issues and latency are common problems with an online game and this can spawn from a variety of sources. Because of this, there isn't a way to "fix it" that will work for everyone. To address this, we suggest a number of things that may be the the root of the problem, however, we have no control over your connection or ISP so it is not possible for us to pinpoint the exact cause. While these kinds of issues may coincide with a patch, this doesn't necessarily mean that it is the cause, as such we also cannot "fix it" from the server side. The thread we created for the NA data center is used to collect data for a possible interruption between the server and players, something neither we nor our player base has direct control over. Since you are having difficulty connecting to the EU data center, we cannot direct you to this same thread, nor do we have the evidence to suggest that your issue stems from the same interruption. With that we are left with giving our standard troubleshooting suggestions.

    I understand that you have tried our suggestions and your problem persists, so I will ask that you provide a trace route, preferably during a time of the day that you would normally experience these issues. If it is possible, try to perform one while playing the game, to get the most accurate results. Please post this trace route here.

    Again, I understand that this has been a frustrating process, especially for a paid service. Please understand that we do everything we can to try and assist, but there is a limit to our abilities in solving an issue like this.

    We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

    SimplyJames168, you keep on making threads about you experiencing game problems, but, so far, you have povided none of the info you have been asked which can help resolving the issue, like trace route data. Yeah, Squre Enix probably can be slow sometimes, but for now it looks like I am the only one who still experiencing lags and connection issues in the game since I was the only one who have provided trace route. I can see that you also play on Chaos Data Center. If you really want to speed things up, please use CMD.exe to trace route and post your results in this thread and also in this one:

    People have a right to be mad and express that frustration for a subscription based game, it doesn't matter if he provides his Trace routes or not, this issue has been going on for OVER 6 MONTHS! yet here you are against the people facing these circumstances, You are on the wrong side my friend

    Well, yes, I see your point, and I am sorry that you are experiencing this problem for more than 6 months, but you have totally missed my point.
    OP is from EU DC and he, like many others including myself, has started experiencing connection issues appx. since patch 4.2 which was less then a month ago... There is a decent chance that we have a different kind of issues coming from different sources.
    But the trick is, that there is no "wrong" side as you've labeled it. There is a productive side and unproductive side. And simply expressing your frustration and madness without making any real input means being on unproductive side. Forum's moderators don't just respond to our posts but they also "filter" the information we provide and send it to specific department, responsible for resolving certain issues. And believe it or not, they will not infrom technicians that someone was "very mad". Those, who are in charge of servers maintenance or members of Financial Department will never know about the existence of such posts...
    I've never said that people have no right to be mad, but simply tried to invoke some productiveness, that might have some real effect.

    Try to look at this from another angle... Imagine someone was mugged on the street. This persons calls police and instead of providing required information (like where exactly that person was robbed, mugger's discription, where did he head after, etc. etc.) this person proclaims that he is mad at police and hangs up.

    Fair enaugh! And thanks for your contribution via email tech support!

    If you will have time and willingness, may be posting your Traceroute also on this forum will probably (and hopefully) speed things up even more. It can be considered a two-front fight
