I think even if a customer did activate wrong character by mistake, SE should be able to correct this to the player - it's called good customer service.
If they are worried about the playtime customer has gotten from the incorrect character, they can calculate the difference and deduct it from the time of the character they change to.
We are all humans, we all make mistakes... whether it is SE or the customer!!!
