Big Deli is awesomeI really think this patch did a good job on class balancing.
Even gld has some pretty impressive combo move for DD.
I tested my con magic att ability on Moogle battle, so is against L50-55 mobs, it's not too far off my full-geared THM. Certainly, these mages nuke is not over the DD since there is the mp problem. So, please go test and feel (/chuckle) the game. It's not the same I-can-just-stand-there-and-be-awesome game. You need to be more skillful to be awesome this time.
Also, we need to hang out more :P
+1 to youI don't know what others are talking about, my LNC still does an insane amount of damage, even in the Moogle fight. Only real disadvantage I have in the Moogle battle is that I am a victim of AoE attacks, and I heal myself for that, along with using Sentinel at the right time.
Start with Power Surge, then I begin my first combo, Vorpal Thrust(behind) > Impulse Drive(side) > Keen Flurry > Chaos Thrust, then I continue with Full Thrust(front) > Leg Sweep > Blood for Blood > Doomspike, then I do Power Surge again, then I repeat the first combo, and then I use Full Thrust(front) > Heavy Thrust until combos come up. I keep a pretty well consistent DPS pace with this.
I'm sure there may be better ways, but I found myself being efficient with this setup. I think anyone is a great DPS if they learn how to use their combo system efficiently.

You can't solo mobs lvl. 50-55 with thm period.
Thm is somehow usefull at parties. All other classes got buffed on both ends. Solo/party.
You guys saying that thm is the motherfucking god now are drunk. If you dont kill the enemies with your combo, prepare to run...

I killed lots (/chuckle) L50-54 mobs for my attack magic test. I don't even bust out my abilities yet cus it will ruin my test.
here is the list of stuffs I killed pretty much. some conclusion made in this thread at here if you wanna know
for most L50-52 and some L53, I can finish them with 1 sequence. I got 750ish exp. still left with unbroken stoneskin (for L50-52) and sometimes even full mp cus that give-you-mp-back-after-magic skill.

funny i was just soloing things on thm in natalan before the maintenance. so you want to try and say that again?
LOL's first thing I did is go out and solo Level 50 stuff on my THM and CNJ.... I have yet to die soloing since patch so not quite understanding why THM can't solo rank 50-55ish mobs. Maybe you were doing it wrong?
I dont get why ppl dont see this. BLM downfall is stupid waiting around getting mp while every other dd is going crazy. For a game that makes you choose w/e you want to be you cant expect balance this balance that bs. You can only makes certain mobs have higher resistance to certain jobs. Which would then force ppl to play different jobs. Everybody said Arc was broken then they hella gimped it then Lnc was broken now they fix it. Now they're saying Thm is broken and need to be fix? seriously? Every time you ppl cry for a fix you already know whats going to happens. See now Thm is actually working as intended and every bodies blasting it because they prefer a melee dd that can damage and tank at the same time and don't need to get mp back because they only really use mp for cure and raise. How is that balance again?
Hehehe...didn't you know it's not about what damage everyone else in the party can do but rather, how can they make me look more awesome!. Many players focus only on their own individual DD output and forget that it's the party's DD output and Damage Mitagating Moves that make them successful.![]()
Oh boy... Try getting seals for your company with a time based system lvl 5 quest and then we talk about it.
I fail to see how this has anything to do with the auto attack that is a punch based melee attack that was the point of discussion about what makes archer a melee. I was very specific to refere to auto attack, which was also the point of the dev post, I quoted. Whats the fact that we can throw rocks and misc. other projectiles have to do with the fact that we have a close range only auto attack?Here's your information. This was part of the original description for Archers when the game was released.
