If we are lucky it could get done before 2.0, but i'm not holding my breath, not because SE doesnt listen or anything but because they have a huge workload to get 2.0 out on time.
We can always hope.
Why do I have a bad feeling about this... SE suppose to improving the game content, not worrying about user interface (which should have been polished by PC launch). Suppose they do nothing but improve interface, graphics, battle system, environments... you know, BETA stuff(see where I'm going with this?). When will the game actually be ready for presentation and liable for expansions?
~'\[[_LEGACY_]]/'~TENTs because solo-friendly content forces me to want one!

You..do know a working foundation is even more important than content, right? It's not "beta stuff", it's called game design 101. Even established MMOs still tweak graphics and envriornments and etc overtime. Was WoW's cataclysm the official release of it and everything before of it was beta? Why do I have a bad feeling about this... Was Rift's 1.6 update the official release since it also tweaked the interface? See where I'm going with this? FFXIV is being overhauled, which means content isn't the #1 priority until the game's foundation is where they want it.
That exactly right, I agree, When you have a great Foundation, you can build the tower as high as you want it.. and it shouldn't ever fall ( or at least a very hard time of falling) build it with a crappy foundation.. everything you build on top of it, will Collapse in time.You..do know a working foundation is even more important than content, right? Besides they have a little over 250 people working on this "2.0" 50 people could be on the Server infrastructure, 50 people could be on Graphics engine, 50 people could be on the Games content, 50 people could be on the Features ( UI,Market wards/AH/PC Search etc). last 50 could be on getting the game ready to be "re-presentated" at E3 trying to make sure they catch the eye of the crowd.. to draw people who left and new people. Lets face it, Everyone is going to watch E3 "even re-run of it" and they will have no choice BUT to see the New FFXIV.. and they really need to put this out on full force.. this is their last chance.. so that last 50 people working on a Presentation, is #1 key. ( but that can wait till the final 3 months heading to E3).
Anyways you get my point. All 250 people aren't working on one area then jumping to the next.. everyone has assigned duties, and they follow them.. and Yoshi-P walks around each area and sees how they are doing, giving them advice, or things he wants in that particular area of the game <3.
Yea it's not called beta. It's alpha to be specific =P
There is still problem with ui desync with servers and not showing proper timers. They really should fix that b/c it's a big bug which makes combat annoying as hell. And no 2.0 should not be excuse to fix things like that.
if the servers are bad (which they are) then yes it is an excuse.Yea it's not called beta. It's alpha to be specific =P
