WHM getting progressively more unnecessary in content?

I will agree that all the threads can honestly be consolidated into a single thread regarding the WHM kit. Feedback is feedback though honestly don't expect any change until 4.0. I understand why S-E made AST as strong as it is right now but I dislike how unbalanced the healer's are right now. AST is far too strong in its current iteration when compared to WHM and their current kit.

They're about WHM and AST yes, but they're completely different topics to discuss. Topics that I felt deserved their own thread.

@Northernlad MSP: It's an alt, of course. I'd be the biggest ass if I spoke all this and don't even have the healers leveled. I main WHM specifically.

The thing is, I want to let them at least be aware of the fact that a pure healer type healer won't work in a game like this.
PLD is a bit better off because they do something no one else can do, which is protect other party members. If they focus in that they'll be fine and have a very strong identity.

But with WHM? Just more healing isn't going to cut it. I want them to know that, if they don't already, so we won't continue with this through 4.0.

I think you aren't giving SE enough credit were it's due. I'm pretty sure they are aware on what their doing with the classes, they have been demonstrating it through the hot fixes and each patch. (Take AST for an example) They have testers, they hear variant complaints all the time. Hell even the team talks to each other about cool ideas or how to make the classes better. We are in the stage where we need wait. You can make threads all you want once the new expansion is here. Until then. Let's just wait and see what will happen in 4.0. They've already addressed future changes to all the classes for storm blood.

AST is currently the WAR of healers, very powerful. But that doesn't mean WHM is losing its usefulness.
WHM can clear endgame content just fine. It just lacks utility.

No, not really. SCH is and has always been the WAR of healers. They're normally the off-role because of the great DPS both jobs are capable of.
