On subject, I think the lobbies are usually empty since we can bypass them to get to the actual apartments. I think the opposite would help keep the lobbies a little more lively, but it can be seen as a QoL fix in the wrong direction to force us to enter the extra instance.

Exactly, that's why I wouldn't want to force people to enter the lobby every time they want to enter their apartment. But entering it for mail seems justified in my book
