Why do apartments not have a mailbox?

Would rather have it outside where you teleport to, rather than having to zone into a place that'd be only used for getting your mail.

So would I, but as long as they put one in, I'll deal with it if they put it in the lobby. There just needs to be one.

As for the other requests in this thread, those are all aesthetic and might be nice, but are not really necessary--not like having access to the mail.

They probably didn't add one because of the complication of the permissions needed for it. Since it's in the housing district if one was added it would have be accessible only to the residents of the apartment (since right now you can't use anyone elses mailbox in that area unless you have permission).

Or maybe it was just because if they have an outside one but only residents can use it then it's confusing to non-residents as to why they can't use it, but if they put it indoors that's unusual too since it's an outdoor item normally.

Not that there can't be exceptions made etc, but I think they probably just thought "Lot less complicated not to put one in"

If you share a house you can use their mailbox so I'm sure that tag is easy to handle.

I think just having a post moogle inside the lobby would be the best thing. Give a reason for people to hang out in the lobby perhaps, and even if you can use it without having a room I don't really think anyone would care.

We can have the best of both worlds by merging the lobby into the housing district then put a kupo in the lobby.

I agree. The lobby needs a mailbox.

Then to make it fair for ppl with housing they would have to put them at least outside every small housing alcove area. I had to travel to get/send mail untill I got lucky enough to get that freaking whisker and make my own on property mailbox.

I wouldn't have a problem with the apartments getting a mail-box, even though I had to buy one for my personal house.
If it was free for anyone to use in the Housing District, it would benefit house-owners nearby who were unable to afford a personal mailbox or simply wanted to use that slot for a different piece of garden furniture.
Even if it was locked to apartment tenants only, I wouldn't take issue with it. Apartments cost more than FC rooms, so a few extra perks wouldn't be outrageous.
