Nah, we don't need to be nice to newbies! Screw them, who needs them, let's get rid of the PVE incentives too because PVP should only be for those who already know what they're doing and are SERIOUS about PVP! We don't need more players!

That's because everyone is playing 4v4 Feast dude...

The end result of these e thug toxic players ^
I could name a few hehe, I have my haters but I keep pushing. Just need to stay strong and don't let them stop you from what you enjoy.

I don't get their logic at all. Don't you want to do anything you can if you want to win? Wishing cancer to a healer, how exactly does that help with your goal? Trashtalking your own teammates before the match even starts and setting a bad mood, how exactly that will help you to increase win rate?
These are people with total moral degradation, the lowest of the low, they don't deserve any wins or rewards. And people defending this behaviour only result in driving away new players with remaining 'elites' and their 15 alts swimming in their own toxic piss.
The Feast is RNG, you may win or lose, deal with it, accept it, or don't que at all. Being a civilized human being and not being an asshole will always overweight any win ratio for me.
You know, the thing that is truly unfathomable about this is that people already ignore practically any and every helpful macro that is posted in the chat box, yet they glue their eyes to the damn box as soon as someone throws an insult their way. Then, to make things better, they get so butt-hurt over those insults that they have to come here and complain about it, despite the fact that typed insults are literally the easiest insults to ignore ... What in the actual hell is going on here? It's almost like some of these people want to get insulted, because it seems to be the only chat they pay attention to.
Platorepublic is also the same healer that want's cleric stance to be disabled in partied instances or at all.
Fun fact: Cleric Stance is disabled in PvP lol.

I see you... Good job I know you so can smell your jest. ;P
*the picture helps of course. X3

I really appreciate your advice to just get in there but it's not unusual for others to just drop when they see an unranked.
I'm not bad at PVP, I'm only lvl35 but that's purely down to not having the incentive to sit through huge queues or take abuse. I was actually told once by a random person that I was 'known' in Primal Maelstrom Frontline & that members of a linkshell had been trying to get the chance to chat with me to join up. I was really chuffed... of course, then The Feast arrived & it sucked the fun out of it for me.
I've even experienced unnecessary hate in the unranked Feast because I said it was my first time in that mode. It's toxic without reason. I sound like a right whining shit now, & you probably think that must be a scumbag that deserves it, but I assure you I'm lovely & always helpful in game. *shrug*
I've said it before but you can do everything right and someone will still find something to complain about. If you're giving your all and doing your best to learn, no one can ask any more of you. And the PvP community is too small to be trying to discourage anyone from wanting in. So really, stay the course, do your best, and unless it's constructive criticism or something important you can learn from, the rest is all white noise.
