Yda is said to be a Highlander, though her ingame model is that of a Midlander. This may not be an error though and could be deliberate on the part of the devs.
I think they covered this at the last Fanfest. Yda is a Highlander, but in 1.0 there were no female Highlander player models, and rather than recreate her character model in 2.0 they just stuck with her original Midlander one.
