Seriously dude, it's a game, I'm sure even if someone puts their points in somewhat different stats it won't affect their play that much. They'll still be able to do their job even if it takes slightly longer. If it affects them so much that they can't do their job, it's bad game design. You shouldn't have to look at any guide that's not in-game to play the game effectively, or the game is fail.

Also what's the point of stat allocation if everyone has to conform to the optimal build? Why not just make it automatic? I look forward to stat allocation to try different things ( Gladiator DD? Physical Conjurer? Really hope they let us reallocate whenever we want so I can try this stuff)
I'm pretty sure the stats that you can change aren't going to be enough to make a conjurer a DD. Probably more like the difference of a bard being dd/support rather than whm/support or a paladin being tank/dd or just solely a tank.

Having some fluidity is great, but too much will cause a difficult partying experience. At least in FFXI (or when the game was released, I haven't played recently), having a bad healer or tank tended to mean a dead party and that game didn't even allow stat changes. There was a learning curve for the role in the party and playing the job well. Having some auto-class structure, let's partys form easier and more smoothly.
