    ilevel 210 MNK Help

I've been having trouble with my monk's DPS and I'm really not sure what it is..
Last night my friend checked my DPS on one of those programs that records it and I was only doing like..900ish or something.
I've STUDYED ALOT of monk guides and I've got my rotation down pretty good.
I keep my dots up, my buffs and my debufs on the enemy.. I really don't know what it could be I'm doing wrong..

But, I've came to a thought.
My computer isn't really the best, I get around 20-25 FPS. (The game doesn't look chopy or anything to me though. And it's playable.)
I mentioned that to my friend and we're wondering if that's the case.

Please, if anyone can tell me if that's probably the reason, I'd be glad to know for sure.
I really need a damn upgrade.

i210 doesn't tell us much at this point. What ilvl is your weapon and do you have any pieces that are above or below i210? What fight was the parse on? If it was on a dummy then how long was it? 900 is low on a dummy but not the end of the world on seph ex. Lastly, what does your opener look like?

I think that should be enough to pin point the issue.

    Weapon: Rising Suns (210)
    Head: Antiquated Tantra Tantour (200)
Body: Hellfire Mail of Striking (230)
Waist: Hellfire Belt of Striking (230)
    Legs: Antiquated Tantra Galligaskins (200)
    Feet: Antiquated Tantra Gaiters (200)

Neck: Ardent Necklace of Slaying (200)
Ears: Ardent Earrings of Slaying (200)
Wrist: Ardent Bracelet of Slaying (200)
Ring: Ardent Ring of Slaying (200)
Ring: Primal Ring of Slaying (230)

I was testing it on a dummy, I realise I forgot I had Fist of Fire on that time we tested. But I'm still worried about my DPS.

    Pre Pull:
    Meditation x5
    Form Shift x3
    Shoulder Tackle

    My opener:
    Demolish
    Perfect Balance
    Snap Punch
    Elixir Field
    Snap Punch
    Howling Fist
    Dragon Kick
    Twin Snakes
    Snap Punch
    Touch Of Death
    Chakra Release
    Fracture
    Bootshine
    Blood For Blood
    Internal Release
    True Strike
    Demolish

Then I just mantain up my dots, buffs and debufs.

why are your buffs AFTER all your bigger hits? that opener would be pretty bad.

Copying this from my comment on a reddit thread, there's also good openers on the MNK thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...AKRA-UNLEASHED
FS to Couerl > Snap > PB > Snap > Demo > DK > TS > BfB > Snap > IR > Bootshine > pot > ToD > EF > True Strike > SP > Snap > HF > DK > Shoulder tackle if not used otherwise FC > TS > FC if shoulder tackle was used on the prior ogcd > Demo > Fracture

So judging by the opener you posted I'm assuming you just have poor CD usage and probably dot management. For your opener, get to gl3 first and then use your buffs (ir and b4b) and then after twin snakes and dragon kick are up, start using your damage ogcd. No need to weave in 2 OGCDs in the same gcd on monk. That fracture looks like it's really early, you might be dropping dk/ ts for a gcd or more. I recommend recording yourself going through your rotation or having a friend in game watching to see if you are clipping dots or letting buffs fall off. Those can really hurt your dps overall if done repeatedly. Make sure that youre using the shorter OGCDs like elixir field as they come off cool down. You should always want to be using OGCDs when you have IR/ b4b up.

Do you play with Controller? My dps was really low too till I figure out, that I have to Lock-on the target to do auto-attacks during Position changes (sry for the bad english, i am from Austria :-)

This is more than cd management Imo and your opener. Watch more, study and find another monk to look up to.
