Ninjas and cat traits

EARLY TL;DR All Fours needs to be changed.

Hello fellow forumers! (yeah that's a word now)

SO I thought I'd bring to light (once again?) what could arguably be the most useless skill/trait in the game, "All Fours." My reasons are the following:

(Sorry if some sentences sound out of context; I had to shorten some of them to fit in each reply and didn't have enough time to review it all :S )

To start, I've been faced with oh-so-common response whenever I brought the topic up to fellow in-gamers (yes that is also a word now); "It's mostly for PVP," or "it's useful in PVP." Now, I'll give them and you guys here the benefit of the doubt and say that I personally don't now how useful this is in pre-Feast PVP instances. But I can, with full confidence, say that "All Fours" is not even remotely useful in Feast. Why bring up the Feast, you ask? Well, considering the new "seasons" system that was implemented this patch, I'd like to personally think that the Feast is subjectively more importance now. Which brings me to my next question: why make so dependent on terrain when the terrain could change so easily with every new PVP instance introduced? Why not make a skill that could be both useful in PVP and, to a lesser extent, PVE?

I also feel like Ninja is very weak at PVP. Why, you ask? Simply because what made Ninja good in PVE does not (and I mean at all) apply to PVP. Yes, you guessed it. I'm talking about your utility. Most of it, if not all of it, is to some extent pointless. Shadewalker and Smokescreen are self-explanatory. The uses of Goad are so limited and situational (e.g if you have a bard on your teaming multi-DOT'ing, and even then it's still a big question mark). As for Trick Attack, I feel like it's very useful IF, and only if, you can land the positional. Moreover, it's not just your utility. The fact that you have to press multiple buttons just to get off some of your most useful skills (talking about mudras and Hyoton as an example for PVP) sets it one step behind other melee classes in fast-pace matches like the Feast (also considering how easy it is to stop you in your tracks mid-weave and how very unfortunate it is when that actually does happen).

I know what some of you may be thinking at this point. I'm not asking that we should break the class and put it ahead of every other melee. And honestly, I feel like Ninja is very good at PVE at the moment. All I want is to see my class shine with the brilliant light of balance (no, not the card)! So my suggestions are somewhere along the lines of replacing it with maybe a Goad duration buff or possibly a trait with increased resistances perhaps. I know, I know. I'm not too good or creative with this suggestion stuff, but at least I tried!

What are your thoughts/suggestions?

PS This is all assuming that the original intent behind the design of "All Fours" wasn't role-playing or PVE (lol).

I agree with what you're saying, and i dont have much time to play or time to level other classes so i main ninja and only ninja so it's a priority to have it fixed. Having your mudra get stopped and having it completely go to hell once you're stunned is an insult to the term "job balancing". Also, they are so weak in comparison to every other dps in the feast... HAVE YOU SEEN THE NUKES DRAGOONS AND MONKS DROP????....

Hm so a buff basically. i would love it if they buffed our damage in response to this. a ninja can dream ;-;

I mean in terms of damage, I can't say I'm too content with the way it is now, but I feel like that's the way it should be, if I'm being entirely honest, considering our utility. BUT that logic does NOT apply to PVP at all. And I think, considering how Square Enix is trying to make PVP a legitimate part of this game, they need to definitely also try to make the melee DPS classes legitimately balanced. So I believe changing this trait, which is both useless in PVP and PVE right now, should be a good place to start!

Would very much appreciate buffs. Would appreciate the return of Perfect Dodge and have Mug actually steal shit in Wasp Venom too.

But I only think we'll be seeing minor potency buffs on AoE attacks in 3.3.

All Fours really is in all content...a pointless trait and was always situational if you would get pushed off a cliff in PvP.

Matter of fact, allow the venoms to actually give enemies poison.
