Housing Reclimation to be Temporarilly Suspended

Due to the the recent earthquake in Japan, they will be suspending the auto-reclamation of housing plots, for a two week period.

先日発生しました熊本地震に際し、たくさんのコメントありがとうございます。 そして、被災された方々にFFXIV開発／運営チーム一同より、心からのお見舞いを申し上げます。
Thank you so much for your comments in regards to Kumamoto Earthquake which happened recently.
And, the FFXIV development and management team would like to extend their heartfelt sympathies to the victims of the earthquake.

震災によって被害に遭われた方々に向け、スクウェア・エニックス・グループより、
微力ではありますが支援金のアナウンスをさせていただきました。
Our company, Square-Enix group decides to announce that we will be contributing some financial aids to the victims of the earthquake, even though our contribution may seem little.

平成28年（2016年）熊本地震への支援について
一部プレイヤーの皆様よりお心遣いをいただきましたクリスタ購入による支援などにつきましては、

Regarding the Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Aid for Heisei year 28 (2016)
In regards to assistance by certain players who purchased the Crysta points as an aid fund to the victims of the earthquake, with the feelings of gratefulness from the customers in mind, each of our inner company project, along with discussions the business managers, the money earned will be used as financial aid provided to the victims by the Square-Enix Group. We hope for your understanding on the matter.

またFFXIVとしてこの状況を鑑み、一時的にハウジングの自動撤去カウンターを停止することにしました。
Also, after monitoring the situation in FFXIV, the auto demolition of the housing will be temporary suspended for the time being.

被災地の皆様はゲームにログインすることはおろか、弊社にご連絡いただくことも難しい状況と予想し、
次回ワールドメンテナンスから、暫定で2週間ほど自動撤去カウンターを停止します。
ただし、急を要する修正のためゲーム内で確認できる「撤去まで残りXX日」などのアナウンスは、
そのまま行われてしまう可能性が高いです。この点、何卒ご了承ください。
By estimating how victims could have had problems logging in to the game, plus how difficult it would be for them to contact us about it, The next world maintenance will see us suspend the housing auto demolition time counter temporary for about 2 weeks. However, due to it require an emergency maintenance for it to happen, you may still experience a high possibility of cases which the in game message of "Remaining x days to demolition" announcement will go off as it is. We would like you to pay attention on this matter.

内部のカウンターは止めておきますので、2週間ほど推移を見守らせていただいた上で、
その後もカウンターの停止を継続するか、再開するか、改めて検討していきます。
もしカウンターを再開させる場合には、事前に告知を行います。
With the in game counter being stopped temporary, we will be taking somewhere around 2 weeks to monitor the situation. From there, we will review in whether we should resume the counter function, or stop it entirely. If we are to resume the counter, we will make a separate announcement about it.

最後に改めまして、被災地の皆様の一刻も早い復興をお祈りしております。
Lastly we would like to once again extend our prayers and hopefully all victims will be able to recover as soon as they can.

This is great to see; It's nice to see their consideration for the victims, and I hope everyone will recover quickly!

Since they've only announced it in Japanese, it suggests to me that unless they say otherwise, this is only for JP accounts.

So the rest of us shouldn't assume we have an extra 2 weeks!

Condolences to the earthquake victims, their family and loved ones.

My message is only for SE to give more consideration. How about an update to housing so players in general don't lose out on opportunity?

What about players (like me) who have lost their housing AFTER they returned to the game and could not get it back? I have been waiting to purchase housing since!

I took a break from the game for a few months. Heard that inactive accounts would lose housing, so I re-subbed a month prior to the housing update. Was logged in for days, but one day when I logged in, I was standing in front of someone else's house!

Getting partial GIL back didn't come close to what I lost. Nor was wasting 2 days spent contacting tech support.

The only thing I can be happy about is that a FC now owns my plot, but I don't see any activity from them..

Oh well it is just two weeks, but it doesn't have to be this way. Fix housing so this doesn't become a reoccurring issue.
