Is there a hacker problem and they don't want to say?!!! Hmmm, idk maybe I am wrong but something is really fishy there, them being so quite about it is too odd.

deleted and redownloaded (for the 4th time) and i noticed that the version it downloaded as 2015.12.12.0000.0001 but when i launched the game, it still shows 2015.12.12.0000.0000. is it possible that this is the issue that is causing the version check error? Playing on a ps4 so our options are very limited with regards to the "fixes" that i find online.

me too! it started with the Unable to complete version check. [20458][24530][10009][-2143088536] FFXIV Updater/Launcher 2015.12.12.0000.0000

and when I reinstalled the game I noticed that and I thought this since it recognized it it'll be fixed! but it didn't :/ I really hope they'll be able to fix this asap

Same thing, was 0001 when it was downloading but when I launched the game it showed 0000 and still couldn't login with the same stupid error message, ok I am really really angry now this is ridiculous!!!

I dunno what's happening here ... But they need to fix this ... Like I tried so many things .. And I still think it's a psn problem from their side and it's stupid

Funny thing was, they recognized that there is an issue with regards to the PSN sign ins, and shortly after, released that they have resolved the issues, which in all our cases here, wasn't. what is the actual basis on which they can say that "oh, that issue is dealt with and let's move on"?

That is why I smell something fishy here, they have to let everybody know what is going on here, they owe us an explanation, I deleted my game aswell and I am reinstalling, will let you guys know the results, and I will check what version it downloaded.
Btw, where can you see the version? Or it will only show once it's downloaded?
