Nice night. Hit 50 last night and 51 today, then realized that in leaving nearly all (non-main) quests over 25 for another class in the future I hadn't unlocked 3/5 optional dungeons from the 1-49 span. So I unlocked Cutter's Cry, Dzemael Darkhold, and Aurum Vale. Have read about some bad experiences with those here. Got three great groups in a row with DF. Only issue was my heals seemed to not fire/heal at times in Cutter's on early trash pulls (wasn't moving, target not out of range/line of sight), tank went down. But the boss fights were good. Other two, zero glitches or issues. Everyone in all three were nice and did their jobs really well. All fun, no drama. Appreciate all of those players. Can't wait to see Amdapor in person after clips from OST vids on Youtube...

If I remember correctly Seph N has no enrage, because I've been to 4-5 storm of words twice already.

Anyway, back to topic. I helped a fc member getting Seph N clear. We went in with 2 PLDs (the member who needs clear, and I), 1 WHM and 1 SCH. Phase 1 and 2 went great except phase 3 where we kept wiping due to earth shakers and Da'at because for some reasons the party love to stick together. After 2 wipes one DPs left, so we called in our fc member who's a NIN. Another 2 wipes followed. Last 10 mins of the instance we cleared it with only 30 seconds left on the timer. @.@

Antitower run, I was DRK, had an AST, a NIN, and a new BLM.
took 50 minutes to clear.

1st boss: took 4 frog phases to kill.
2nd boss: 7-8 meteor phases, barely had enough dps to clear out the meteors.
3rd boss: almost 4 doll phases to kill.

Tank stance wasn't even needed, the dps was so low that keeping it on would have caused us to enrage at every boss, I couldn't do large pulls either. Their gear ranged from 220 eikon to lv.58 quest drops, they barely met the req to enter the dungeon and clearly didn't know how their jobs worked.

Might as well link this here. The short version: I use mage LB3 in Story Bismarck fight on the adds and people flip. Even after we clear. Also I get diagnosed with downs.

A lot of people complain about Aurum Vale in the DF. What about NM Qarn? >.> Getting it way too often. With too often new tanks not taking advice on how to get rid of the Doom debuff on the first boss.

Shoutout to everyone who has overcome the crippling illness known as "tunnel vision."

That means shoutout to all the healers who rez people not in their party in 24-mans, tanks who pick up adds, dps who kill the adds, people who wait to pull until the entire party is clearly ready, people who read chat when someone says "BRB," people who pay attention to ground indicators, people who pay attention to single-target indicators, and people who generally pay attention to a little thing known as "mechanics."

You. You're the real MVP.

P.S. This includes people in FATEs and hunts btw especially those who help people not in your party. If I could give you a comm, I would.

Just got out of an Ultros & Typhon run in which I was WHM. I admit outright that my performance was far from stellar -- got myself kicked out of the ring multiple times, panicked a lot and forgot to use any of my fancy cooldowns except for Divine Seal once, and relied a lot on Regen and Medica II.

However, the rest of the party included:

A mentor AST who, among other things, didn't put on a sect until after the tanks pulled on the second try (we wiped once), never once helped to ress any of the dead people, barely drew any cards, never once used Aspected Benefic or Aspected Helios, or even Helios, for that matter, and generally spent most of the run in Cleric Stance throwing out Malefics and ignoring the tanks even when I was busy trapped in the ring-out.

A WAR who replaced the PLD who ragequit after the first wipe. WAR started out with Defiance, turned it off for some reason during the fight, and let one of the DPS get aggro and die.

People in general who didn't know what to do.

I walked out of there with 6 comms for some infathomable reason, but I would have gladly given up every last one of those comms to avoid having to deal with a mentor AST who draws a Balance and promptly uses it on themself.
