Is SE doing anything about these FATE botters?

In all seriousness you can literally tell who's botting or not.
Look @ the players , they pretty much look like mindless drones, stopping on a dime at the same location etc etc. Not fast pacing to other fates etc.
It's hard to ''spot'' them because their are players doing actual fate grinding there but they are the ones doing the normal fate grinding stuff

..Leaving fates early
...Figiting their characters a bit while waiting
...chatting
...repairing
....etc etc

It was weird seeing people in my own FC not logging off for hrs at a time and seeing their char. at 60 and shit and now im just pure disgusted with it.
I love FFXIV but this is just dumb imo , even if I wasn't a ps4 user I wouldn't utilize this....

Tbh... I took it easy and did like 2-3 levels at night while doing zone quests, story quests and my roulette. It only slowed down at 57 to 59. That took me two-three days taking it easy, but 59-60 wasn't even three hours of work. I have to say I played like 2-4 hours, but mostly it was less than three hours. Alts will most likely take longer, though... I haven't tried leveling another class yet.

Thank you guys for having a civilized non bashing discussion about this. Here we addressed that there is an issue and there is simply something we cant do about it. On the one of the Facebook pages you pretty much get called a whiny bitch for even bringing up botting . Probably because theyre the culprits

I haven't seen this on my server but I understand your frustration with it for sure. Being a PS4 player myself, I already feel at a disadvantage to those who can use parsers to evaluate how effective they are and make adjustments to their playstyle accordingly. So people that can bypass the leveling process while they're like sleeping, or at work, can spend more of their actual play time on the types of level 60 activities that get them better gear or more practical experience in challenging content. I can totally see the people who bot themselves to lvl 60 quickly being the same ones with the 'one mistake and you're out' PF's the same week new content comes out because they get to spend more of their actual play time learning that content sooner vs. trying to get to where they can attempt it to begin with.

Its much worse then you will ever know. If you do a google search for bot you will find that the bot also will farm mats for you, play your job for you letting you outshine people thus directly affecting legal people who are kicked out because bot players are rotation perfect always and all the large mansions and houses alot of them on Balmung I find their toons botting in North than so it lets me know they probably mass botted 16 accounts to get the dough to pay for the houses. The top FC on our server all use radar hacks and bots which can be conviently bought for 5 bucks with a easy search. GG SE you are the new wow when it comes to letting cheaters/scum of the gaming earth rail road and run over your legit players.

It'd be funny if they'd target the AFK timer/timeout thing on RMTs and Botters...but theirs has a modification to what it does. For some reason I think botters (in dungeons) are the reason we expect perfect rotations from normal players. (that is if a Bot ends up in a group of normal players)

I think you are correct on this that they've coded their bots to handle the timeout. I watched the spam bot that sits in the market area of Ul'dah for a few minutes and it seems to have a jump every few minutes to keep from going AFK.
