After today's (14.05.2015) maintenance I can't log in to the game. Every time I try, I get "couldn't complete version check" error [20458][24530][20457][410].
I'm on PS4
Does anyone else has the same problem?

OK, I've got a reply from SE:
"We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with with your connection.
The First thing to do would be to try connecting your computer to your router
directly if you are using wireless internet and ensuring that the correct
ports have been forwarded on your router. You can find out more about
forwarding ports on the site
http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Final_Fantasy_XIV/"
I already had my PS4 connected to my router via cable so I just did the port forwarding steps listed in the suggested article. It didn't help one bit...
Hello
I have the same problem.
My wife same.
Unable to complete version check.
[20458][24530][20457][410]
I never need to use port forwarding. But I tried. It doesn`t change anything.
We play on PS4

Looks like more issues on Sony's end again.... may have something to do with it.

IF this is a "normal" home installation, disable port forwards. You should only need that to get through firewalls you typically see in the workplace or university campus. Disable UPNP on the router, then go into the PS4 nmenus and run a connection test to see if it clears up some issues that may be there.
Found this in the Resolved threads and it worked for me. Basically, one of your files has a blank version number, so there's no version number for it to check!
-----------
RESOLVED - Unable to complete version check - In this instance at least!
OK guys, I hit this issue on a brand new Windows 8.1 install. I tried all the things mentioned in this thread and nothing worked for me, IE Run as Admin, Read-only, reset router, release/renew IP, disable firewall etc
I then started to open some of the files (using Notepad) to check out the contents and these are the 2 important ones I believe.
C:\Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.ver
C:\Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxivgame.ver
My ffxivboot.ver was reporting this version number
2014.01.18.0000.0001
However my ffxivgame.ver was blank. I copied the version number and pasted it into ffxivgame.ver and saved it. I then ran up the launcher and my game started downloading a 657mb patch with February dates, so after the 2014.01.18 my version number was reporting. Once it finished download/updating these I could play.
Hope this helps someone, judging from the number of posts there are obviously numerous reasons for this error to pop.
Here is earlier thread:

If SE dont repair this bug (with launcher version check) one solution only for PS4 is clear and full game reinstall. We can't change files on PS4, like with PC version (solution in post above).

It's working fine now. Apparently it was a PSN malfunction, again...
It's down now (8PM PST, Fri May 15), and it looks like Playstation has been having major problems since around 4:30pm this afternoon, according to downdetector.
holy crap... just before 8pm (Eastern) they broke the 12,000 mark on reported problems. Apparently... something is amiss with PSN tonight.
