    Macro/Rotation ideas?

Hello! I dont craft too much, but I have a crafting macro when I do which does the following (see below). I use this on my lv 50 goldsmith and lv 50 leatherworker. I have the other crafts up to lv 20. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as macros/rotations go? I am trying to get artisans gear and etc...Thanks.

There a few threads that discuss this. Here is one: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Q-2-Star-Items

If that pair of macros represents ALL you do while crafting, you have missed out on quite a bit while leveling GSM and LTW up.

First off, Inner Quiet. Use it. Use it at the start of all your recipes, up to and until you get ALC 50, at which point you'll use it second, right behind Comfort Zone.
Second, due to the way Inner quiet works, plan on using your biggest, best Touch actions LAST. In your two macros there you use Advanced Touch, Advanced Touch, then Basic Touch.

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to craft with those macros, but one thing I HATE about macros is they do not allow you to restore CP all that well. You're missing out an any Good conditions in there for Tricks of the Trade. And when all is said and done, CP is the lifesblood of crafting.

You don't make use of any Durability restoration in there, either. Steady Hand covering Hasty Touch adds to Quality without consuming any CP (at least, not after the Steady Hand) allowing you to use the CP later on, either to restore Durability through Manipulation/Master's Mend/Master's Mend 2, or to use the great Strides->Innovation->Ingenuity booster for your last Touch. Waste Not falls under the heading of Durability Games as well, and should not be overlooked. Also worthy of mentioning, Rapid Synthesis early on can save you a lot of CP on Standard Synthesis or other CP-costing Synthesis actions, though just like Hasty Touch it needs to be covered by Steady Hand.

In short, use Inner Quiet, use Steady Hand (2 when you get it) to cover your 0 CP moves to give you both Progress and Quality (Progress up until you only need one or two Careful Synthesis to finish), saving your CP for Steady Hand, Durability restoration/games, and for the finishing Touch. Time that last Touch so that you have just enough Durability left for your Careful Synthesis action(s) to finish off the recipe.

And lastly .. don't use macros unless/until it is something you can make by hand in your sleep. You learn all this stuff and you'll be able to create your own macros for whatever you want to do.
