Now to the problem. I already know the sever issues are being resolved, and I'm glad to see such quick response however my problem began yesterday so im starting at the roots and working my way up. Was leveling ninja got kicked from sever tryed hoping on a few times and with no luck I gave up and went to play hearthstone. I wolk up around 10am est this morning because it's my day off tried to hope online with a cup of coffee. Logged in and as soon as i clicked the acknowledgment for the sever maintenance i crashed to desktop. Now i have had crashes before after this update. It happen rarely so I've just shrugged it off as being bugged and that maybe it would be smashed in the next couple of weeks, however after the epidemic that happened yesterday i have only managed to get about 30 seconds of a black screen and a crash to desktop with out even a error. I have managed to get a run time error, but i highly doubt that is the cause. I know there is a sever downtime coming around so i understand that that could be the cause. I don't know when Ragnarok is going down, I live in the united states, but i play on a EU sever because brits are awesome. Here is what i have tryed to fix the problem. Installing windows updates. Installing different drivers from amd and nvidia. Swaping out the video cards. Running as administrator. Running virus scans. Running in compatibility mode. The best results are with my amd r9 295x with catalyst 14.9 running windows 8.1 i can get close to 35-40 seconds of black screen before I crash to desktop. All and all Im going to test two more things a fresh install of the game, and if that does not work im going to use another WD hard drive i have to install windows seven from scratch, and then install FFXIV onto that as well. Sorry for wall of text. Hope this helps, and happy fixing SE. :3
