Yay! We can cast pathetically weak spells while we run for our measly lives! Or didn't you realize that those spells are not buffed by Astral/Umbral, and we're still going to have to cast Blizzard to get our MP back? Also, Summoner DoT's are easily Esuna'd or Leeched, so that kind of sucks too.

No one is going to use Flare on a single target any more. Ever. At least not a good or sane player. It was made pathetically weak in the last update, considerably weaker than even casting a single target fire spell (130 potency versus 170 potency). Remember, it's now reduced by 50% in PvP, bringing that 260 potency down.

Working as intended folks! I think it's clear at this point that SE just hates casters. The interruption makes them completely unplayable in PvP, and the Frontlines queues only prove that. It's 80% melee DPS and 20% mages... my guess is the mages didn't get the memo since they're almost always in the lower end of the score spectrum.
