Second Wind does more than any caster Physick and if stacked with Recouperate is just too much self heals.

With or without recouperate a caster/brd cannot solo a melee (unless said melee is straight trash) so its irrelevant whether recouperate is available or not. I'm assuming you mean its overpowered in a 1 on 1 scenario since in group play a recouperate wont save you from an opposing team that's better than your team (at best maybe you can live long enough with it to run away). The second wind comparison to physick is also ridiculous btw, you cant spam second wind (though honestly neither will save you anyway if you need repeated use of it). As a melee the only thing recouperate has done for me is give me a better chance at soloing skilled tanks when i run into them provided they dont have their life saving cooldowns (hallowed ground/holmgang) available. Its completely unnecessary when soloing caster/bards since they are fodder for melee either way and it loses some of its value/importance when engaging enemies as a group as its unlikely to swing the tide of larger fights like that in your favor on its own and make as much of an impact. I honestly couldnt care less if they took it away myself as skilled plds/war/mar are few and far between anyway (still run into mindless button mashing plds who keep spamming shield bash trying to stun me while I have fetter ward up and am dismantling them while they figure out wtf is going on).

You know, this kind of stuff works for your team as much as it works against you. Too much 1v1 in mind. I see you're a SMN, I'm sorry you can't be devastating to multiple targets and the perfect 1v1'er at the same time?
It definatly needs a rework, Recop is just to strong if you add the extra 4 pts to increase healing to 30%. It's pretty much a melee dps's own Lustrate, that or make it available to all classes. (That aren't healers or tanks)
Except it's used once every 150 seconds if fully upgraded. Don't see how or why you'd compare it to Lustrate.
You will not be able to kill a moderately skilled melee with or without recouperate so what is the point in complaining about it. If you want to be king of 1 on 1 like tanks currently are then petition SE to nerf bane to make it unusable in pvp and limit the maximum amount of dots you can put out to maybe 3 in total to severely inhibit your ability to deal dmg on multiple targets in exchange for beefing you up on single target combat. Know your role in pvp and stop trying to be a jack of all trades. Wtf is the point of having all the classes doing the same thing in pvp? When it comes to 1 on 1 scenarios casters and bards will always be at the bottom of the food chain cause their specialization lies elsewhere. Either deal with it or switch to tank or melee and stop crying.

Not sure how a smn would win a 1v1 in the first place against a melee unless they were attacking your pet the entire time.
You obviously didn't know/ forgot about how op smns were back at pvp launch day.
Smns here smns there, smns duo que, all day every day.
Hence y they nerfed them, took out raise, nerfed their virus, made dps specifically 1 ranged / 1 melee, and i think they changed some of the potency of their summons and abilities.
So a smn would win easily back then if it was a 1 on 1.
But idk about now as melee seems to be the new hot thing due to blms getting nerfed and casters being interrupted probs even more now.
I have played PvP (both Wolves Den and FL) since they were released. I play DRG and MRD specifically. I would throw away my controller and sell my game if I let a SMN kill me 1v1. LOL
Casters and other DOT/ranged support jobs have a specific role in the overall scheme of the PvP system. When you try to play well outside that design then you deserve to struggle. Trying to kill people 1v1 in FL is one of the biggest problems with the way people play. It is a group activity. The alliance who plays the best as a group typically wins. Players who wander off and do their own thing are a detriment to the team.
