From my experiences with running businesses, in my honest opinion.. It seems their system may have wiped many payment details and now the system is rejecting them.. They need to get on this asap and do a maintenance on all payment options. Happened once with a company I was involved with (not mentioning names) and they had to trash the whole system and reinstall new servers, took around 9 days for it to be up and running correctly again.. I hope this is not the case though - As I have just come back from a weeks vacation and I am craving my Scholar aha..
