I don't think doubling the number of wards is going to be enough, you'd need about 10x that to even make a dent in the total demand. For reference, patch 2.38 added enough Small size plots for 0.1% of the estimated number of players: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...large-image%29

You should have just gone with a system like FFXI's Mog House: one small instanced plot on its own, and not a piece of a persistent zone. Sure, it wouldn't have been as charming as being able to walk around an actual neighborhood, but I sincerely believe this would have made a lot less people unhappy. Your current system is not able to deliver, and most likely never will, and you probably need better advisors if you actually believe it'll work out nicely in the end.

I did too! I couldn't wait to at least get my plot, but every small plot on Phoenix is now gone too!! I can't believe they didn't add more wards with this update since the demand is so high; clearly. I mean, I'd love a medium house but I fear by the time I save they'll be gone too!! Totally disappointed. Personal housing has been the thing I've waited for and wanted the most!!

That's only a solution to people in a Free Company, more importantly a Free Company with a House.

Private Rooms should never have been tied to Free Companies to begin with. Probably would have taken a lot of the heat off this update if they did that, shame they lack common sense.

Our FC has a medium house already, though my personal chamber serves as a meeting hall for our Free Company. I relinquished my chamber for everyone to use because I intended to get a personal house.

I got mine about 3 AM Eastern Time (US) on Siren and it was 2.1 million Gil. I'm hoping for the gardening plot in the private chambers as well.

Heck, I woke up and got online the moment the servers were up. I had plenty of gil and still didn't get a house because on Balmung they were all sold out of smalls in under five minutes. I watched people crowd around placards just as I arrived at them in a mad race to click "purchase." Sigh.

My servers still have many small plot of lands available. I think there will be no lands left if the price is cheaper.

According to supply and demand, maybe the land price could be considered as too attractive in some servers? ^^;
