Some, sure. There's usually a handful of people at this node at most, though.

Arg.. this thread is crazy... Trying to keep up, but so many pages.

Has anyone gotten a color change without the feathers message?

I am almost done with my fourth feeding (in an hour and a half).

1st attempt: I wanted Celeste Green. Got the feather message on the 5th fruit and continued getting feather message as I continued feeding. Got Sky Blue.

2nd attempt: just fed random stuff and got no feather message. Also no color change.

3rd attempt: Fed over 20 of one fruit and got no message, then fed 2 of another and got the feather message on the 2nd of that fruit. Ended up with Raptor Blue.

4th attempt: Followed someone's post for turquoise that I saw posted on here. Got the feather message on the 12th berry, and the message stayed until the 9th pear. Then reappeared on the 2nd apple. Waiting to see what I get...

Fed my Chocobo 15 Darken Blue fruits. 13/15 of them gave the growing new feathers message.

Ended up with Lavender Purple.

I was trying to get blue, I am assuming I have to feed him some lighten red fruits? Since I think Red + Blue = Purple

If it is based on feathers changing messages, I know there were two documented reports of getting Othard Blue from 19 feathers changing messages. Though that was starting from Desert Yellow, so results could be different if you're starting from a different color.

Thanks for the info, I started from Desert Yellow...so maybe if I do more darken blue I'll get a blue colour.

Sorry, I think I wasn't super clear in my previous response. Since you're starting at Lavender Purple, the exact number of berry feathers changing procs may be different. We've already seen some other discrepancies, like someone who took a total of 17 procs to get to Lavender when he did it in two feedings whereas it only took you 13 when you did it in one.
Wish I could help more, but we just don't know everything about the process yet. =/

Ah okay. No problem at all, glad you responded ^^

I'll just do some of my own tinkering, maybe i'll try lightening red hues like my original plan.

so i fed my bird 16 pears, and got the feathers message at the 8th pear, then i fed 6 berries, 10 apples and another 3 pears, and i got coeurl yellow, kinda curious as to where that fits into the scheme of things,
i did get the feathers growing after every feeding after the 7th pear.
