Lotus Pink.
Got this from Doman Plum x15, Cieldalaes Pineapple x6, Valfruit x12.
I was attempting to go for Snow White.

I believe it has been mentioned for both lightening and darkening foods back several pages; I don't think the increase/decrease is huge.

At bone white now (down from honey yellow after 15 plums).

If fruits added color, 15 plums would have made it green or blue. I think? I'M SO LOST, I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE LOL.

I think you guys are over thinking it... The fruits say they lighten a particular color. The fact that the other two colors become more prominent is because you are REMOVING one color, i seriously doubt the fruit secretly adds the other two colors, its just allowing the other two to been expressed more. I believe this because i had a Coral Pink Chocobo, and was able to turn it into a Rose Pink one using the Doman plums. It simply took away the red, making it more pale, thus creating Rose Pink. It didnt turn my choco blueish green, it made it a lighter shade of pink.

This is my findings so far. This testing will be done with ONLY O'ghomoro Berries. (For all of my tests stables were in good condition.)

With my choco in Desert yellow, I fed my choco 1 O'Ghomoro Berry and waited 6 hours. There was no change. Nor a message.

On my next attempt I fed him 25 O'ghomoro berries. The "Feathers changed color" message appeared 23 times. The resulting color was Othard Blue.
This so far is a total of 26 total berries fed for what its worth.

On my third round of feeding I gave Kyoji 5 more berries until I got the message "Feathers changed color" again. The result this time was Royal Blue.
This is a total of 31 berries at this point.

I will now once again feed until i get another message to see if there is even another that will happen. The end goal I'm looking to achieve is Void Blue.
I will post results tonight or tomorrow.

Edit: I fed my choco another 12 Berries and still no change. I would appear that Royal blue is the cap if I feed nothing but berries. Or if this is RNG I have gotten unlucky. Will try to start feeding Mamook Pears next.

So far I'm lucky, almost every single of the fruit i used had effect, I'll see the result of the second feeding (14 doman plum) in a few minutes

it would make sense to base the changing greys off this information thus far to determine soot black.

Every time I begin feeding my bird, after the first fruit there is 4-5 minutes that pass where I cannot get the "new feathers" message. Then I get it consistently after that as long as I feed once per minute.

The thought behind the "New Feathers" message is that it's getting triggered when you're sliding into a SE Dye Colour; no message no colour change. Possibly what you're experiencing is just random occurrence (but maybe not). If you had to lower values to get white, you'd need to feed a lot to reach white, because you're starting at near max yellow (honey yellow I believe is the only yellow above Desert Yellow). But you don't. It only takes a few plums/valfruit to reach white. There was a post a few pages back showing it.
