Frequent Game Crashes in Dungeon--Please help!

Ever since the update I've been having frequent crashes. My game will suddenly just stop working (even when things are running smoothly) and Windows will say my game stopped working and forces me to close the program. This only seems to occur while in the dungeon, so it seems isolated to that area.

It's so frustrating first of all that I crash when my team is depending on me, but another that I cannot return and try and get loot. Its frustrating when everyone has stuff but I crash before making it to the last boss.

I can provide info about my computer/specs if that will help. Please help!

I get this same problem in dungeons. I now also crash randomly outside of dungeons, in random areas.. It happens moslty in lager PTs, and sometimes happens randomly with no PT.... It is now to the point where I cant stay logged in for more then 5 minutes without crashing. It does mostly happen while im in PT. It all started after patch. It really sucks when you cant play this game and pt. I have to do things solo now, or with a very small pt 3 or less members. Does SE or DEV team notice these problems, and is there some type of fix coming soon???

Wow I don't have it that bad. It happened to me again tonight, twice. It's frustrating because my Linkshell can't rely on me being there and I'm not getting drops. I seem to crash the most right before the ogre fight or right after. Today I crashed once I finished skipping the cutscene and when I was outside the dungeon.

- I freed up hard drive space
- I removed programs
- I updated my video card drivers
- I checked the solve PC issues on Windows 7--nothing to do with my game crashing
- I unplugged my secondary monitor that is hooked up to the motherboard's graphics
- I lowered all graphic settings

Still, nothing.

Same issue here, and a lot of people from my LS are having the same problem.

Yeah, I did most of that too. I even re-installed windows 7 fresh on my pc, then re-installed ffxiv and I still get the same exact thing. Funny thing is, no DEVs even acknowledge this as a problem that they are looking into.

I made a post yesterday, and got a response.

It was not me disconnecting but i offered what information i could and told LS members that dc'd to as well. The thread got locked though so more where unable to post there specs.

Thanks for the help, I wish a moderator would see this one. I re-installed the game today and did some more program removing etc, but I still crashed. This time while in coerthas killing raptors. I was just walking towards the next group when it crashed suddenly.

Another thing to note on my crashes is that anything external seems to crash the game. Good examples are any time I do control+alt+delete to get to the task manager (Windows 7) it crashes. Devs, please take a look at this. I know several other people who have been crashing since the update.
