Please allow us to reset things like desynthing levels

I leveled my desynthing for my alchemist and I changed my mind and want to switch all my progress to another class. Im not asking to transfer one class to another (which would be awesome, but could be abused), Im just asking to be able to reset a class completely so you can choose a different class to level.

Not only that, but allow a reset of some sorts if we happen to make a mistake on a meld for the novus weapon.

It was the same with chocobo leveling. Things like this should really have the ability to reset and start over if you mess up.

These things are already possible.

For desynthesis, while I guess you can't actually just reset the skill back to 1, you don't need to. Just start leveling whatever skill you decided you'd rather level and if you hit the 300 mark it will start removing points form the others. If you are planning on using all 300 skill points and not in the class that's already leveled, then there is a tedious workaround right now and I believe they've said they are planning to make it more obvious and less tedious to keep a particular skill leveled. This still wouldn't reset your unwanted class, but making the others unable to delevel would be just as good.

I don't know the exact process, but the NPC who gives you the sphere scroll mentions removing materia for you if you make a mistake or change your mind. Others might have a more detailed answer for you there, but having just started my Novus I recall that it is an option.

yeah but once you have 3 classes that are all in the 90s, when you start to level another class, the deleveling that occurs is much more significant. now when i get the penalty i get 0.22 taken away from one of my good classes. this could result in me damaging the levels on my 90 classes, which sucks because i spent a lot of money getting them up to that. but yea i get what youre saying, but itd be much easier just to reset a class.

and novus just occured to me bc I have read about ppl who have done this, i havent messed up on mine.

it took like 3 patches before we could reset chocobos, and i just dont want to see the same happen with other features of the game

You can undo infusions by talking to the same NPC that sells sphere scrolls, though if you already upgraded your weapon there's no way to re-do it (for now).
