Also a sizeable amount of players that want drk in ffxiv do so from playing the job in ffxi where drk had A+ scythe skill rating vs Greatsword's A- rating. Scythe also made darkness chains while Greatsword made light and... um.. we want darkness and evil looking stuff :P

What about the sizable amount of people that want the DRK as it was in the first time, i.e with swords and/or greatswords ? FFT was released before FFxi you know..?

And from a practical point of view, a scythe is a terrible weapon u_u
