    Personally I don't care either way, required rank is what 95% of RPGs/MMOs out there do. Optimal rank would have been fine if it had been properly explained and the stat penalties were more clearly shown.

    People who worry about R1s running around in their precious gear clearly have entitlement issues. You got it, why do you care if others do too?
