Suggestion: give more incentive for low level roulette / increase penalty for leaving

Major problem here. Higher levels and 50s do a low level roulette and then become impatient and rude when your actual low level wants to do a full xp run. It's not fair for the lower level whose actual intent is to level on the dungeon to sacrifice a huge chunk of their exp just so that other people can fly through it and get their bonus and move on. It's a broken system. Something you could do is raise exp gained while in the roulette while reducing the bonus exp, so higher levels need to actually work for that extra xp.

People also ditch when they find out that someone wants to do an xp run. This just happened to me tonight. Queing for Bray NM took over 20 minutes as a DPS, which I then gave up on and switched to tank, which then I had to wait another five minutes for. We get a 50 SCH and I said my friend and I are doing an xp run, and bailed. Waited over 15 minutes until one of my FC members came on to join in progress and heal the run for me. Hate to sound like a squeaky wheel, that that is completely unfair, and she should have been severely punished for leaving.

Please increase the penalty for leaving to a point where it's so long that the person thinking of quitting will think twice and just finish the run. I'd opt for at least an hour, but two hours would be fantastic.

High level attitudes are making it harder for lower levels to enjoy dungeon grinding. Please consider these suggestions.

Well the developers would need to know the REASON each person is leaving a dungeon EACH time to decide if its a good or bad reason.. There are many reasons out there! Emergency, got to go to work, phone call, can’t past instance after many tries, not a cooperative adequate group, bad talking of some/most players. See? But that 50 scholar was wrong in leaving.. Why? Looking after her OWN interest(selfish) and not the interest of others.Phillipians 2:4(would of been loving to stay)

One man's rights only extend as far as the next man's rights begins. As a person who has been on both sides of this issue, I think the penalty should stand as is. Does it really sound fair to you to dictate how someone else can spend their time? At the end of the day, a person's time is a very finite resource. That being said, I understand your frustration, though I can offer no remedy.

I don’t fully understand the “man’s right” thing, but everybody has choice on how/what they are going to spend their time. Who are we going to put 1st? Loving others or ourselves? When that level 50 scholar was in that dungeon, they had a choice stay and heal(loving others) or leave(themselves). Based on what JustPlainLucas has told us, we know which one they picked.

It doesn't sound fair to me that I spend 30 minutes waiting for a dungeon and only end up getting half the exp from it because someone wants to rush through it.

I have a similar suggestion in this post (Click Here). Although it's specifically for job-in-need positions I think perhaps this is one way to fix the problem in lower level dungeons, too - Increase the incentive to make people stay.

Modify it slightly, since level 50s will be sync down to match the dungeon level give them extra myth and/or sold tomes so they will stay. Additionally, add a condition that the party must clear 90% of the mobs to qualify for the bonus.

    Just my 2 cents

Hey Papa Guu. That might make them stay but that still leaves them looking out for themselves. Until they stop putting their own interest 1st and only helping others when its convenient, you’ll be back here or in another thread trying to find a solution. Its not the game thats the problem but its the people’s heart.

True. But you can't change how people think or force them to do something they don't want to. Age, culture, and mmo experience, etc all play a part in how each player plays and just like in real world there's no real right or wrong (for example, I only play expert, hard, and trial roulettes for myth and gradually getting my animus weapons and that fits my life style just fine. For those with more free time on their hands and can afford to do SR for 10 hours straight there's certainly nothing wrong with that. To each their own.) This is just my attempt to align people's interests... be it exp or tomes...

If your real intent is to get XP out of dungeons, you make a PF, you can include everything you want in there, multiple runs etc..

Those who will go in your party know exactly that this is an XP run, so they won't get out of it.

Duty Roulette: you can expect everything in there, bad players, bad attitudes, bad.. and also super nice!

Even if it's my Duty, I always check if the message of: some peeps are new to it.

Then, I make sure the map is entirely covered so its done for them, perhaps skipping 1-2 mobs (no treasure to get for example), but they get that achievement.

Weird things is: I receive commendations at the end.. wonder why..

For max lvled characters, a low-level is long, boring mashing 2-3 buttons, being iLvl100 and losing aggro lol and doesn't give any XP, so in your case, it's a void argument with them.

Still, when you enter, you know you will be mixed with real low-lvl ones, so I do my part to help them, and luckily, I'm the tank, so others follow pretty much all the time ^^

TL;DR - Don't join Random parties or duty finder if you want specific stuff done -> Party finder is a tool made for you in that latter case.
