Turn 6 LOS Strategy (Quoted from French Moderator)

Sorry if I did miss any dev/com rep input with regards to this since there are really many such threads created in the English forums.

I believe most of the players agreed that the LoS method is not a bug nor exploit since the idea if LoS is apparent throughout the whole game and is essential for tanks to dodge certain mechanics such as Garuda's Slipstream.

The French community rep says that he will bring it up to the developers to see if this strategy is actually considered and exploit and whether it will be accepted.

Just wondering if any of our EN reps would like to keep track of this and update us in the EN forums?

The Line of Sight method shouldn't be considered an exploit. If the dev's consider it an exploit, then I'll just eat every single one of Garuda's Slipstream's from now on.

It is the same as Ifrit Ex Howl, or T5 Divebombs. If this would be an exploit, than that goes for those 2 fights as well.

People were wondering if "not going the intended way" (so in T6, not going in thorns) was an exploit. Kind of a silly question

I don't see how it would be an exploit, LoS method can backfire a lot if you make a crucial mistake and get eaten, it's also negated if you have one of the vines, since you'll be moving away from the boss anyway to break it. I personally don't use it, because I prefer to just use the patches, but I can't see it being an exploit, not with the risk it takes to do it.

Not sure about it. A lot of players also compared it to T2, in which the French rep says that it should not be compared because it takes gear (or at least 3 healers) to pull off the T2 soft enrage strat and also that the developers openly confirmed that whilst it was an unforeseen strategy, they accepted as it is.

I'm kind of surprised that no one made as much "noise" when LoS was used for Garuda's Slipstream and Ifrit EX's howl, but it became a widely raised issue for Turn 6. At least one of the reps acknowledge this "concern" and took the initiative to raise it to the devs for comments.

I just hope that the EN reps will keep us posted of the dev's decision.

There's lots of attacks, from various bosses and mobs, that work the same way.
So are they gonna ban everyone that ever evaded Thunder attack, from Succubi, also??
Exploit would be to prevent Rafflesia from even using devour. Dodging a skill that has a delay, isn't...
There's rarely only one method to kill a boss; just cause brambles prevent being devoured/stunned, doesn't mean it's the only way to do it.

Wait you can Dodge the Thunder Attack from the Succubis? Even from Haukke Hard the last Boss?

And besides why should be that an Exploit? Seriously the French are sometimes really strange.

You have such Skills in every MMo where you can LoS Dodge it. Even here are so many. These are with an Indicator marked on the Ground. But some like the Mark and the Slipstream from Garuda don't have a marker to make it harder or silimar.
