    That's a whole other discussion though. I guess you can tweak mechanics for old content. Still a lot of what you said before can be achieved on echo buffed content. You can clear it with only 7 or 6 players so yeah you can carry two other players. There have been twintania and titan wins with even 4 players.

    If only that was really the case. T5, despite echo, still has dive bombs among other things that will wreck absolute havoc if one or two people are not up to it.

    The problem with "team rope jumping" was already mentioned in the OP translation; It gets really boring for people who cleared it (since it's all scripted and monotone), it frustrates mainstream players because of the focus of mechanics that more often than not, they cant afford to bring in 2 or 1 people that's unfamiliar to the fight (thus requiring a static), and out of reach for casual players (which probably makes up the majority of the playerbase). Whether or not people see that as a problem, they're all players who pay for subscription. You can't really afford to cater to one exclusively, and definitely not shut out a majority group either; It leads to a slipperly slope of dropped subscriptions, dropped revenue for production value, and ultimately drop in contents.

    I don't mind some team rope jumping or mechanics where people need to stay alert (EX primals for example), but some of them just gets outright ridiculous, especially when it's (and this is my interpretation) supposed to be accessible by most of the playerbase (T5 as an example, not so much savage or even second coil).

    And to top it all off, it's just the lack of overall meaningful content. Atma, Ramuh, hard mode Levi and Ramuh, the "Expert" dungeons, it keeps piling on. I'm half expecting the new dungeons in 2.4 to give us ilvl 90 drops...

    I find the meaningless stats of gear very unmotivating for all the rest of the content which is exactly just to grind better gear. Getting to ilvl 100 means nothing and you're not really rewarded for obtaining better gear because fights are on strict rails no matter what.

    Better gear helps a lot. I don't like the idea that gear should be the end all be all.

    But that made me think about something: the current echo buff is poorly designed. Or, at least, only helps in a non-instalkill situations.

    As you said, stats only won't suddenly make a bad player avoid Twintania's dashes or tornadoes. It help getting through a few "checks" but it doesn't keeps you safe from some insta-death stuff.

    I'm currently fine with it, but I would like to see another kind of echo for really late people.
    For example, when 3rd Coil will get its weekly restriction removed, everyone, at that point, should be able to down T5 no matter what. It's currently the case with HM primals (except for Titan, which still has some insta-death stuff, but most of the deaths at Titan don't come from Landslide. Plumes are the real killers here, and that can be avoided with echo+overgear).

    So, what can we do against insta-death stuff which will hold some people back? Well, I would actually like to see an Echo buff which, instead of giving you a stat buff, would allow you to die once, and then get you back up automatically at the same spot you died, with a little complete invulnerability frame (so you can get out of T5 fire, for example) and would not give you the "revived" debuff.
    This would allow your whole team to survive a team wipe because of, say, a failed Twintania dash or a late Twister escape. Same goes for Primals "Ultimates". For example, Ifrit's nails would be completly optionnal (you would still have the option of doing it in order to boost your LB bar up) because the team wipe that would follow will be completly negated.

    Obviously, this "echo rez" would only be put on very old content which can hold people back.

    noone is saying that, but the biggest problem is that olde content cant be cleared by new players. Theese brickwalls will drive newer players to end their subscription fast and echo isnt helping in that department. I had a fail run recently in duty roulette on titan hard (not ex), the echo buff did nothing to help the situation, and titan hard is what? 1 year old by now. that stuff should be doable by 3 people: tank healer dps by now, everythign else is just bonus.

    Usually Titan HM parties succeed now. You must've been in an especially bad one.

    First off I am not whining, i am makeing suggestions to improve the gameing experience for newer players.
    Second by 3 man i mean from start to finish only with 3.
    and third, it doesnt/wouldnt bother anyone if olde content gets really easy/soloable for newer players. Its not like it drops anything much of worth anymore. I for myself wouldnt mind it. Thats why you have progression, you progress to the next stage with new updates and make the last/older stages easier or alot easier.
