Why is jumping always associated with WoW?

The only kind of limitation I ask for is no jumping in battle. Reason I mention this is because in Aion Rangers would exploit jump to cancel combat animations and that became the only accepted way to play the class. Single handedly made me not want to play the class.

The way Aion handles animations isn't the way every game handles animations. It's the only MMO I know of that has everything tied directly into animations as much as it does. Clipping/Weaving applies to a lot more than just Rangers.

Meanwhile every other MMO doesn't really care because jumping is just that, jumping. It's not interrupting anything except casting.

Well here's my interpretation - since WoW's jump feature is so disgustingly childlish and un-realistic as well as cartoonish, Final Fantasy lovers, as am I, would not like to see XIV shamed anymore than it already has been. Seeing as a WoW like jump would destroy what we have come to know and love, people (see how i changed from me included to just others, keep note) need to bash WoW's jump so that the Dev's know to keep jump on a low key.


And pretty much its FF or WoW and never both when it comes to fan base.

jump is just stupid in any mmo, i don't like it don't matter what game it's in or not. i hated jumping retards in warhammer. making the option to jump around like a looney is not my idea of a good time or good mechanics.

at least they said jump in this game won't be the same as in other games. if it was it would make the battle mechanics worse, specially if they adding pvp.

Even how bad wow is look wise,gameplay wise,storyline in the game wise. when it come with anything we think of wow due to the high market for wow,.

The looks are personal preference. I run it at full settings maxed to ultra and it looks fine to me. If you don't like the art style, that's different.

Gameplay is a lot smoother than XIV's. The storyline not being good is personal preference as well. It's had three prior games full of lore to build a rich story. Vanilla's storyline was lacking a bit. Claiming it's not well done 3 expacs later is just fanboyism. You might not like the storyline, but it's implemented wonderfully.

Back to jump: Quit worrying about everyone else in the game doing something. WoW was never meant to be realistic. FF fans also make far too big exaggerations of people bunny hopping in WoW. It's not like you go to a city and see more than 1 or 2 players bunny hopping like idiots. It also has a purpose on some boss fights.

I think it if funny that people care so much what others players do, I don't care if 100 people around me is jumping up and down it doesn't bother me in the least. To me it is literally no different than seeing someone run around, walk around, stand around afk selling bazaar and I and non of you have any right to tell people to stop it or not to implement it because of such a dumb reason. People always bring up WoW in this scenario because they are afraid that the game they enjoy is going to be successful by copying some of it's elements, they would rather it only have 10,000 people playing instead of 10 million. Haha, no really it is because WoW is compared to all MMOs and especially this one because a lot of the hardcore FF online players are anti WoW.

Also it has been confirmed and they are going to add it so stop complaining about it, let us see how they implement it first and how it feels in the game before any more people whine and moan about being able to do a simple act of immersion like jumping.

I'm also assuming you meant to say just "that are the best" or maybe more likely "that do the best", but even if it is the second Rebecca Black didn't "do the best" in any category I am aware of.

The only thing I disagree with in that sentence of hating on people at their best, is Rebecca Black, well maybe not her, I hate on whoever wrote the Friday song. She didn't write it or create the beat, so I can't hate her, whoever did create the beat....they should stop writing music (best scenario I could think of lol)
