As I said, i'm fine with half meter high jumps with a cooldown or something. Thats okay and realistic. If they add big jumps and change the game physics that will change the entire game feeling, so many players will be unhappy with those changes.

WoW standard and FF standard is something very different. I hate WoW because it's not the type of game i like. I have a reason to play FFXIV and not because it's something new and has shiny graphics. They should implement content and story instead of waste their time with copying terrible 'standard MMO' things
FFXIV "IS" more action oriented. The flow of combat the mechanics of being able to actually dodge several enemies special attacks by moving behind them or away from them make it more action oriented. The fighting in the game even in its current state where you have to press to attack almost gives the feeling of an action RPG. Even when they bring auto attack in it will follow more closely to the WoW style of fighting. Auto attacks are separate you have cool downs and mana/tp costs for using abilities in which you can stream together into a string of attacks.

I am not calling this an action game but I am saying it is more action oriented than its sister MMO FFXI and in general when compared to some other MMOs. You never stop hitting buttons when attacking or when you are in battle unless you are letting your agro drop or getting MP or something.
