Because I am close to 100% positive it is "Conquest" not "Contest."

Everything up to the first "echoed in song" was confirmed by the PAX '15 panel with Koji & Soken, where we saw half the lyrics for each incarnation of the song.

I wouldn't mind seeing the other halves...

I had it as that for quite a while, but as Moose said, the panel confirmed otherwise.

I was hoping they would show the entirety, as well, but too bad. Just have to wait for either a Dev Blog post or for the official OST to confirm it.

Looks pretty good, but some of that is definitely not right. For example, we know there's a 72323 line in there from the Soken/Koji information.

I believe the line is
"Transmissions begun; completed
72323 Send"

I also think it's "creating a misdirect," not a mess (direct).

Now, the real questions begin since one line aside, we've got an easy 95% of the song as it's pretty clear: who's singing here?
In this case I think it's far less ambiguous than Answers ever was: the singer is either Hydaelyn-the-entity Herself, or one of the Seven Celestial Dragons...

So, now that the majority of those who have posted here have finished the current story, how have your opinons on the singer of Dragonsong changed? Or have they?

My thought is either Hraesvelgr or that female dragon in shackles in Asys Lla. Mostly because I read the entire thing as coming from a member of the betrayed dragon kind.

I think it was clarified somewhere that both Answers and Dragonsong are sung by Hydaelyn, or at least from her perspective.
