Since morale does not affect the 30/40 bracket, should I bother wearing my level 70 PVP gear? Also, does the PVP materia affect the 30/40 bracket?


Lastly, what would be the best gear--for a paladin-- to use for the 30/40 bracket? And what materia should I try to get for my paladin. Thanks.

From what Ive seen, if your a Fresh Rank PVPer, then you should start in the 30's, while you can get a good carry in the 40's and 50's, You're gonna cost your team a win if you don't have any morale in the 40's+. Once you get about 100 morale you should start doing 40's and 50's. for 50s, 150morale is good but 200's makes people avoid you until the end unless your a healer.

Morale affects the 40 QUE? 50 que is pretty much dead, so I just want to optimize for 30/40 bracket.

Are you saying that PVP gear affects the 40 bracket?

Morale has no use in 30's and 40's only 50's.
For 30's and 40's, you want the best gear of that level.
Level sync turns your i90 pve/pvp to junk.

For Twinking specifically... sort of. It won't add much to your stats, but going the extra mile is a little extra advantage on your side.

Anyway, play 40s. If you're worried about equipment, mostly try to find Strength accessories instead of the VIT ones you're used to - you'll already have plenty more HP and you're not exactly an actual 'tank' in PvP so much as a burlier DPS with a lot of stuns.
