    Recent Maintenance causing 90k errors?

I've been playing FF14:ARR since launch on PS3 with almost no issues up to now. After the maintenance on the 14th on March I have had 90k errors almost all weekend. They have happened in AV, Western La Noscea, Crystal Tower, Mor Dhona, Hakkuke Manor Hard Mode and Gridania. I have also been getting frequent 10-20 second long lag spikes where I 90k or everything catches up in 5 seconds. After every 90k error I try to log in and receive the 2002 error.

I have not touched anything on my network, PS3 or PSN settings. The only trigger seems to be the maintenance a few days ago. Any solutions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Same here problem here, except that I'm on PC.

Up until March 14th I'd gotten only one or two rare 90k and very little lag. From friday until now, I'm getting 5-20 secs lag and consistent 90k's. Even low level dungeons are nearly impossible like this.

I'm on wired connection, I didn't change anything in my router's settings recently, I checked the network usage on multiple occasions and I tried restarting my hardware. Nothing worked.

Yea I'am getting that on both PC and PS3 I can't seem to do anything without lag that makes the game unplayable then getting random 90K's then when I try to access the server I get a 2002, when I open the client and log into my character I get 3102 error for 10 minutes and then when I get back In its not 5 minutes before the process repeats. I can barley play the game as it is. I know it's not on my end because I have a wired connection that is really fast and when I look under the sending and receiving I'am not getting anything from the server.

I just posted on this issue on another thread, but I'll post here too.

I've been having the same issue ever since the 3/14-15 maintenance. For the three weeks before that (since I bought the game), I was never disconnected, not once. My err90k's have been going all day every day since. I can't stay logged on for more than ten minutes at a time, and walking into a sanctuary (any sanctuary) is a death sentence for my connection 100% of the time.

    I've been trying everything:

    wireless to hardline (no better)
    application forwarding
    Manual port forwarding
Kicking my entire family off of the internet so I was the only connected device
calling my ISP almost half-a-dozen times (they'd done everything they could by the 3rd time)
ping tests, packet loss tests, driver updates, Firewalls, routetraces
    etc...

No problem with any other application. I even rigor-tested my internet connection and didn't cause any disconnects. Ridiculous!

I think the thing that really chaps me is that after trying the suggested troubleshooting myself, their professional trouble shooters have no other suggestions but what they already have listed on their troubleshooting site. They should tell people that. It would save them a lot of time. No use waiting for a rep if they can't do anything but suggest what's already been suggested.

I'm still quite new to the game. I'm still running on my 30 day free trial, in fact. But if this new maintenance they announced for the 20th doesn't help I think I may have to let my sub. expire. No use paying for time I can't use. I may wait as long as the 2.2 patch and pay for one more month, but this is absurd.

Also, do these problems every get fixed for anyone? Scrolling through the boards I see dozens of posts like this with lots of comments about experiencing similar problems, but I never see anyone say, "it's let up a bit", or "after a few days they got their $H!t together". Do these little 90k fiascoes ever pass?

I had the same problem and I work for a big cable provider so my internet is top notch... I trouble shot my own system and I could not see a problem on my end... No packet loss no bad signals nothing... I did notice that my modem was resetting itself and I knew it wasn't Se it was my system... I scheduled a trouble call and sure enough some things were burnt out at the pole the tech replaced it yesterday afternoon and I grinded a 16 hour sessions with no more 90k... Call your isp and have them send out a tech... If they don't find anything call them again and send out another tech... Intermittent connectivity is common this time of year because of the warming from spring... Try and see if your modem resets when you 90k it's not SE servers it the internet... Diagnostics don't pick up everything so don't let the phone rep talk you into everything is just fine status...

If that was the issue, everyone in the house would 90k ..... I'm the only person 90k in my house and my husband and I play together. He's never 90k'd.

Could be your wireless card, the port on the router numerous things... Not enough band width... That's all the 90k means is loss of internet connection... The maintenance is to clear the servers from data and add any patches this would not cause internet to drop...

It's an ongoing issue guys... SE has had an active investigation open since March 5th. We've had several maintenances attempting to address things on their end that they've been able to identify. Tonight's is I think their 3rd one specifically for such stability problems identified as being on their end. Otherwise, there may be issues in your routing at play as well that may be compounding it. If so, you should see signs of congestion (highly erratic response times, possibly occasional timeouts at the same hop) between you and the last few hops if you run some tracerts to the server your client is actually using (the ones starting with 199 are the servers in Canada--not the 184 one posted all over the internet... that is a web server and not a game server).

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...f-%28Mar.-5%29

If you are still having issues after this maintenance, in addition to posting details as requested in the March 5th post linked there, you may want to investigate your routing to see if there is something between you and SE's ISP (Ormuco) that your ISP can investigate and address.

Issues in between you and SE's ISP are the responsibility of your ISP and/or their routing partner to address--not SE. Your ISP has the means to pursue issues occurring prior to Ormuco (SE's ISP) on your behalf, as they have the service agreements with these third parties to carry your data beyond their local network segments. Without such agreements in place, you would only be able to access content hosted on your ISP's network--forget anyone that uses someone else for internet access. You couldn't even email someone who uses a different ISP. This is something that is enforceable by your ISP and their service agreements--SE has little to no influence over problems that may reside on Level3, TATA, Cogentco, etc. segments, but your ISP does if they are a routing partner.
