    Weird tree in Gridania, anyone know what it is?

    Hey everyone, I found this the other day when I was camping one of the Gob NM spawn locations. I was curious if anyone else has seen this sort of thing in any other zones possibly and what it could be.

    Now I could be way off, but the first thing that came into my head was that this could be something they ninja'd in and could be the entrance to the dungeon they were talking about after 1.18 is released. I honestly have no idea though.

    That would probably rule out possibly being any sort of dungeon entrance. Also, the field that "bursts" from the tree gives no status or debuff effects. It honestly doesn't do anything but look cool as far as I can tell.

    yeah, that's it atm. As far as I know it's always been there. like someone mentions in the thread I linked to there is an NPC in grid that talks about it.

    The area is probably called Treespeak for a reason, most likely some unimplemented lore regarding that tree. Kinda like how Blue Fog area has reactors producing blue fog that we know nothing about.

    I believe that tree is actually part of the Gridania storyline. Don't want to spoil it so I won't go further into explanation.
