Thanks for the translations again Reiheart. Might just be your translation, but I felt a bit of scathing from Yoshida there, in regards to having had the game handed to him with zero quests. Could just be me though. Also very interesting to note his mention of what he would expect at launch generally - I guess that come the future, and possible expansions, it will take a more standard MMO approach to content. Not that it isn't clear from the current goals they have.

In regards to Star Wars Galaxies, I'll admit, having been a player at that time, I was somewhat miffed at what happened (as in, it entirely ruined everything the game stood for to me) however I don't feel that the changes to Final Fantasy XIV are anywhere near the same boat - particularly because they are putting this forward as "Final Fantasy XIV - Take 2" and how it should have been initially, instead of trying to grab a slice of the 'WoW pie'.

No matter the outcome, he has a goal and a purpose for what he wants Final Fantasy XIV to be and that is definitely better than having a lot of interesting ideas half baked, as was the unfortunate status at launch. I really like the fact that he is posting and responding 'out of hours' etc Lets hope his vision turns out as they hope it will - I'm more than ready to put down WoW and its clone army for good.
